My stay at The Heritage House was truly exceptional! As my first bed and breakfast experience, I was blown away by the attention to detail and historic charm of this beautiful home. Each room, including my lovely Garden Room, was meticulously designed to reflect the house's rich history. The elegant decor, plush bed, and fresh linens made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The breakfast options were outstanding, with a new menu to choose from each day - it felt like having a personal chef! The hosts were warm, attentive, and kind, making our getaway with my husband all the more special. The location was ideal, with easy access to Downtown Opelika and Auburn. Leaving was bittersweet, but I'm already looking forward to returning and making The Heritage House our go-to destination when visiting the area.
We recently had our first stay at the Heritage House. Everything was wonderful! The house was beautiful and our room was spotless, spacious, and comfortable. The host was very gracious. And breakfast was outstanding! We will definitely choose the Heritage House again the next time we visit Opelika!
We stayed two nights on an anniversary trip, and the Heritage House was the best experience with lodging that we have had in quite some time. It is certainly our new favorite bed & breakfast. The atmosphere is quiet and classy. The amenities are generous and easy to obtain. The owners are kind, attentive, informative, and very professional. Breakfast is flexible, delicious, and punctual. The rooms are comfortable, clean, secure, beautiful, and romantic. Highly recommended!
Everything was top quality from bedding, breakfast, service, hospitality to name just a few notables. Furnishings provided a warm feeling and accentuated the home’s heritage features beautifully- lots of charm! The host (Leif and Dani) were wonderful and passionate about their business and ensuring your stay was memorable. Location perfect for walking distance to charming downtown establishments. Definitely worth a return trip to Opelika and bring more friends to share in experience- upto 5 bedrooms capability!
As others have said, the house is a charming old home with great hosts. The breakfast is made to order and was delicious. There wqs also a coffee bar and small frig on the second floor where most of the bedrooms are located that you can use at any time. The location of the B&B is great. It is a very short drive or easy walk to the downtown area of Opelika. We ate at the Dough Pizzeria which we really enjoyed and would recommend.
We had the best time at Heritage House Lodging! I wish we could have stayed longer and next time we are in town will surely stay here again. Love the location, attention to detail, the beds are perfect, and ambiance wonderful! Shrimp and grits are so delicious too! Thank you to Leif and Dani for the amazing stay!
The Heritage House is a jew in Opelika. Our two room suite was absolutely perfect. Our private entry was just great and the hosts, Leaf and Dani were fabulous hosts and prepared and served great breakfasts. My wife and I enjoy sitting on the porch and watching the late afternoons go by, with an adult beverage, and would have enjoyed more comfortable chairs outside our private entrance, but that is just minor suggestion. Our stay was most enjoyable and very comfortable.
Heritage House is simply a must-visit location. I find any excuse to stay at the bed and breakfast because of the well kept home, exquisite breakfasts, and caring customer service. This bed and breakfast is in a perfect location. You can walk downtown to lots of restaurants and entertainment spaces.
The facility is clean and beautifully decorated. It's a real treat to stay at Heritage House.
Fantastic food, I highly recommend it! Extremely good service and the restaurant is very nice inside too, you can tell the owners take pride in their food and their establishment.

We enjoyed going to the park for numerous reasons. There were age appropriate play areas for numerous age ranges, the neighborhood was quiet, the park was well kept, and the scenery was BEAUTIFUL â¤ï¸
Great park to walk, have fun at the playground, and watch baseball/ softball games. The concession stands is especially amazing and serve great food at affordable prices. Always a great time going down to West Ridge.

Just what I was looking for in a chili dog. This place has maybe the best chili dog I've had. 4 generations and over 70 years. They are obviously doing something right.
I love coming to Opelika to shop. The stores are neat, the employees are helpful and friendly. I can't say that where I live and shop more often. It's worth the almost one hour drive to come to the once most friendliest towns in the USA. Please k
