Henry Overholser Mansion - Museum in Oklahoma City - 405 NW 15th St, USA

Although they were in the process of restoration after a large roof leak, there was still plenty to see. I arrived just after opening, so I was treated to a kind and enthusiastic attendant who gave me a lot of great introductory details. In October, they are hosting a multi home tour in the neighborhood which also has many large historical old homes.

This mansion is truly incredible. The furniture and how well reserved everything is inside, is so beautiful. So much history to learn and see here. Highly recommend!

One of the best preserved museums I’ve ever been into. It’s like stepping into the past, and everything down to the China and the carpet is original to the house. Really interesting, and awesome house. You need to check this out.

Went when it was free admission for museum day! It was really gorgeous inside. I had no idea such a historic house is smack dab in OKC! I would have visited sooner if I truly understood how close it was to home.

Went to the Haunt and history tour last night. Never being to the mansion ever it was pretty interesting to learn the history and with halloween coming up, to learn some of the haunts of the mansion. If you havent gone, it is pretty cool to check out.

Nostalgic. Mansion is over 95 percent original and in good order. Tour guide very knowledgeable of the Overholser family and all the household items inside the mansion. It looks as if they still live there. Amazing antiques in perfect working order, no flaws. A must see.

Visited on a Friday during their drop in hours. Such a beautiful home. Thankful that Henry Ione Overholser surviving husband sold it to the local historical society to preserve it. We had the house to ourselves and the mansion guide who met us on the main floor was very knowledgeable. The placards in the rooms were very informative. This is an absolute must see if you are local or visiting OKC. Full of history and charm.

Awesome hidden gem close to downtown. I biked to the the mansion and although it seems like it blends very well with the neighborhood, it has all the attributes of a mansion from the early 1900’s. Awesome to hear the volunteers tell you stories about Mr. overholser and Mr. Monroney.
