Henry Howard Hotel - Hotel in New Orleans - 2041 Prytania St, USA

We stayed at the Henry Howard and had a wonderful stay!||From the moment you walk beneath the oak tree, open the black wrought iron gate and step onto that fantastic porch, you feel that New Orleans’ charm. ||Then, you walk in, and it gets better. The staff is kind, friendly, accommodating, and always available! The quaint lounge/bar area is a great place to catch a drink before you head out or if you want to stay in. Our room had soaring 15’ ceilings, large windows, chic antique furniture, and the cleanest, most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. Also, the room and bathroom area were very clean. If you want to feel the character and charm of New Orleans, while you are staying in New Orleans, this is the place. We will definitely go back!

This is a wonderful hotel. It was a laidback and a quiet experience. I was able to get early check in (probably due to the timing of our stay). Tyler, the front host was super welcoming and helpful in l offering us places and things to do in the area. Any other staff we encountered was super helpful and polite as well. Our room was nice. It had tall ceilings, wood floors, and other characteristics that made the stay nice. If I had only one wish, it would be that our room had a mini refrigerator and microwave.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the Garden District with only 18 rooms. It was a lovely surprise where old blended with new. Spacious rooms with comfortable pillows and linen. The staff are all wonderful, friendly and very helpful. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas and we hung out there a lot. You can read their books on New Orleans while having a cocktail and coffee in the morning.

AMAZING HOTEL!!! We stayed here in November of 2023. We had an awesome experience. The hotel is an old family home so there are only 19 rooms and it feels like you are staying in-house as opposed to a hotel. the rooms are very spacious, very clean and private. Amazing living room/lobby, some rooms have awesome balconies or little patio areas. The staff here is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city and have tons of recommendations for anything you want to do. The hotel is just one block from the street car that will take you right down to Bourbon Street and back. This is the perfect area if you want to stay just outside the French Quarter but still access it regularly. Very safe and quiet. This hotel is extremely close to magazine shopping and dining as well.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel, namely its location, beauty, charm and - perhaps above all - incredible staff. Spent a weekend with my daughter there and everything was superb. It's in a beautiful neighborhood, with incredible access on foot to some of the best walks, cafes, shops and sights. The hotel itself is the most charming and beautiful spot to be day or night, and the staff routinely went above and beyond to make our short stay just perfect. Special shout out to Cesar, Angel and Rochelle, thanks to each of you for the amazing weekend!

This is a very small hotel, but guest house would be a better description. It has no amenities at all (food, etc.), but there is a small bar. The small staff does everything: check in, luggage, bartender, etc. Our room was big and the bed was comfortable. We were in the front room on the second floor (201) with access to the second floor porch. The room was a bit noisy as it faced Prytania Street.

I'll start with the good stuff. Great location in the Garden District. Easy to walk and see beautiful houses or go enjoy local shops and restaurants on Magazine Street. The rooms are pretty. The bed is comfortable. The parlor is nice to sit whilst waiting for an uber or enjoying a cup of coffee.|The bad. it feels more like a bed and breakfast than a boutique hotel. |We booked this trip in July or August but I think we got one of the worst rooms in the house. It was 103 on the first floor. We could hear EVERY SINGLE LAUGH or CONVERSATION in the lobby. The microwave beeping. I'm a very light sleeper so this was terrible for me. Also, you can't control the temperature in your own room. |I have to say I'm a little surprised at the number of rave reviews which is why we booked here.

Staff is amazing. Brian and Cesar especially just the best. But all are great. Hotel is quaint and cute. They have a beautiful front “porch” great for enjoying nightly cocktails from the bar. We had a room near an external door and the door was constantly slamming. I’d avoid that room or any near it. Location is great. Short walk to the streetcar and a handful of tasty places including the cafe across the street. Yes please. Thank you for a wonderful trip.
