Hennessey's Tavern - Irish restaurant in Redondo Beach - 1712 S Catalina Ave, USA

This place is a gem. This is on my top ten places to visit when in town. Ordered nachos, quesadillas, and a Western burger. Everything was delicious and not too expensive. The fries were special ordered as garlic parmigiana (best I’ve ever had). I’ll be visiting this place again.

Came here for brunch, and it was the perfect time. Glad it was a little overcast so it wasnt sunny, and outside seating was perfect for the weather. I had the the mushroom swiss burger and it was delicious! The fries were the perfect crisp and complimented the burger well. Coffee was great, too (black)! Servers were attentive, bathroom was clean. Will come back to try the other dishes.

The $6 Bloody Mary is a great deal, especially with how decent their house mix is. Usually they just taste like shrimp less cocktail, but their spices and herbs are well balanced. The club left a lot to desire, the bread was kind of rubbery like they tried to toast it for 30 seconds on low heat, and very dry. It made it difficult to eat. The Irish nachos are good, just be ready for all the grease (cheese and bacon.)

Apps were good. Did not have a main course. Wings and potato skins. Hot and fresh. With the doors open, it was a little cold at night. Staff sometimes had to be sought after to get a new beer. Plenty of choices of beer made up for it.

In the past, have gone here and service was mediocre at best. Okay fine. Maybe it was a bad day. Went for the riviera holiday stroll and it went from middling to atrocious. They let the bar become overly packed and the waitress straight up forgot our food even though we reminded her gently multiple times. We knew she forgot to give us our order because not only did a group who came after us get their food first, but our food was not warm indicating it had been sitting there. We had to cancel the second part of our order because she never gave an update and we were going on an hour for it. Ended up leaving. People coming here may be because redondo suffers from a lack of sports bar and people are held hostage to few choices.

Had a nice daddy/daughter dinner with my 18 year old. Good service, good food. Quite pleasant. She devoured the grilled cheese and tomato bisque 😄

This is our "Cheers"....any time of day. The Brunch is awesome ( $20 bottles of champagne)on weekend. Highly recommend.

It's a dive bar so judge based on that. Especially when it comes to food. So, be thankful they have something to eat while you soak your liver with booze. Best part is they open late even on the slowest day of the week. Open mic Karaoke nights are pretty interesting as some local stars take stage to show off their talent. If you want fancy, Clean, and classy... Don't come. If you want to drink to get drunk... This is the right place.
