Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest - National forest in Neihart - , USA

My family and I went camping here last weekend. It was beautiful. The campsite we stayed at was clean. The water is crystal clear. Tons of nice trails also.

Beautifu place,l had perfect weather. Rivers are cold and inviting. Peaceful, trails are excellent. Wish I could stay forever. BTW, tons of horse flies and biting flies this year.

We stayed at a local Dude Ranch and were able to explore parts of the park via horseback. Check out Circle Bar Ranch if interested!

If you are not impressed by the Big Snowy Mountains as you drive by, that's no surprise - it is a pretty small range, rising out of the farm and range land around it. But if you like high mountains with expansive views, this is the place to go. You will, quite simply, be stunned by what you will find at the top of this range. Go. I'm telling you, go and check it out.

Montana is one beautiful state and the Lewis and Clark Forest is a beauty. The Forest spreads across thirteen counties and seven mountain ranges. Traveling on secondary roads are the best way to see the USA and we love it and always look for scenic routes.

Beautiful place for primitive camping... Well, almost primitive.
