We were searching for a place to eat after taking a river cruise and we were happy to find this place open before 4:00, as many local restaurants are not. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the amazing aroma. We ordered at the counter from the giant chalkboard menu on the wall. We split the elote fries and the sliders from the appetizer menu and enjoyed the self-serve fresh lemon water. There was a lot of loud banging noise happening during our visit (were they smashing the burgers??). The food was beyond delicious and we couldn't stop saying so. My only complaint is that we live 2 long hours away from this place! The women's restroom needed a little attention, but it was spacious and nicely decorated. We would not visit the area again without making sure to stop here for lunch!

Heirloom is Winonas best 'not so hidden' gem. Any bad reviews of this incredible place are absurd. It is my husband and I's "go-to" lunch spot and we will never get enough of this amazing food! He is a tough food critic and we have yet to find anything on the menu we dont like. We often talk about their unique offerings to friends and family and will always recommend. Support a local business, family AND get incredible food. Win.Win.Win. Thanks for sharing your talent with us Heirloom!

If you haven’t given Heirloom Seasonal Bistro in Winona a try, let this be your sign. My partner and I tried the Smash Sliders which had a *heavenly* bacon jam with a garlic aioli topping that left us wanting more, along with the new menu item - the homemade basil pesto bucatini pasta with fried eggplant, and all that I can say is yum. Needless to say, our plates were wiped clean. Very friendly staff and such an inviting atmosphere, & you can’t forget the locally grown ingredients which just tops it all off. We will no doubt be back to try more. 😊

The best place to eat in Winona MN hands down! The smash sliders are always a hit, they never disappoint! It's been one of my biggest pregnancy cravings. Great atmosphere, quick service & best food.

Yessssssssss truly, this place deserves all five stars! I’m not that picky of a eater when it comes to french fries… I’ll make do with whatever is salty and greasy… But these were so amazing! Somehow, soft yet crispy. Perfectly fried. Haven’t had awesome fries like this in a long time. My salmon sandwich was amazing, not fishy at all, even though I don’t really mind when fish tastes like fish… Anyways, the bun was perfectly buttered and grilled as well. But why stop there?! I got dessert too… Some sort of lemon cheesecake, so amazing, moist and yummy and satisfying. The food is worth the wait! … only regret is that I wish I would’ve had more time to wander around downtown, I love the older architecture of river towns in the Midwest. I’ll be back :-)

This little spot deserves all the attention Winona can give it! Gavin and Kristie source everything locally, even making their own pasta. It's incredible! A thoughtful menu allows anyone to find their favorite dish.... including gluten free and vegan options.... and meat lovers, too! We loved every bite and can't wait to go back. And we have been back! If you haven't tried it yet, you are seriously missing out!

Fabulously tasty garden to table fare. Yellow Thai Curry was flavorful and delicious. My husband, who dislikes garbanzo beans, gave it the highest praise by saying this curry makes them edible. 🤣. He had the chili which was phenomenal. I can see why it has won awards! My husband asked for some hot sauce (he’s a bit extra!) and they brought him their house-made hot sauce to use. It was so delicious he asked if he could buy a bottle. Don’t miss out on this great place. Staff are friendly and the food is a treat.

We attended a funeral in St. Charles and decided to stop for lunch in Winona on the way home. We chose Heirloom Seasonal Bistro as it got good reviews and seemed like something unique… right up our alley! It was such a cute place inside and I loved that there was ample space to stand and look at the menu board. All of the choices seemed yummy, but I settled on the Greek salmon burger with elote fries and my husband chose the shrimp tacos with elote fries. I thought the little table numbers in the fake plants were just adorable. All of the food left our tastebuds doing a dance. The texture of the fries were like nothing I’ve ever had before. And you can’t go wrong with elote toppings. I enjoyed my salmon burger but it played tricks on me because I kept waiting for the zing of tartar sauce but instead I got the coolness of tzatziki. Don’t get me wrong, it was tasty, but my brain couldn’t wrap my head around what I was eating. My husband enjoyed the char on the shrimp in his tacos but the chili oil left his hands quite messy! Overall, this was a fun find. The pasta on the menu caught my eye, as well, and I would definitely try it the next time we are in town.
