Heffy's Hot Dogs - Hot dog restaurant in Mt Prospect - 1520 N Elmhurst Rd, USA

No frills location in a strip center. The staff was friendly and it was clean for a "hole in the wall" type place. There are quite a few menu options. I with with a Chicago dog, fries, and drink and it was less than 10 bucks. You can't beat that. The fries were cooked enough to not be wimpy, another few seconds in the fryer would have been perfect. Well seasoned, and you get a huge order. The dog was perfect. I'd put it up against the more well known places in the Chicago area. Bun was soft, seasoning spot on, and the veggies fresh.

DO NOT GO HERE! I wish there was a negative rating cause this place is atrocious, disgusting and racist due to the new owner. I ordered food in which I received a greasy and horrible packaged sandwich, in which later I found out someone spat in my food!! I questioned the owner and then was told to leave and go eat somewhere else OUT OF NOWHERE. I asked why, and he simply told me I looked suspicious and he didn’t appreciate me eating outside. Don’t waste your time on going here and over paying for garbage food which might come with a side of spit.

A very welcoming place. The food is good, the atmosphere is welcoming and the employees friendly. It is worth the wait for your good. The only thing is, it seems like their prices keep going up every time I go in there.

No words can explain how good this food is. Everything is fresh. I had a bacon burger. So delicious! Fries are homemade or restaurant made. I love mozzarella sticks and its hard to find a place with well done, hot, gooey sticks. I was so stuffed.

Ohhhhhhhhh myyyyyyy goddddd!!!! This place had me exploding into tears when I first went here. As soon as I took my very first bite of the Heffy burger, I immediately dropped the burger and silver ware on the plate and exploded with pure joy. The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food. It’s just that freaking good of a fast food place. I’ve been going to this place for about a couple of years now and still never gets old. The food is still delicious, the staff are still so delightful, and the atmosphere is just breathtaking. Every time I walk in the shop, I just take a minute to take a breather and observe this wonderful joy land. This is the BEST fast food restaurant in my town and even possibly EVER. Heffys, if your reading this, keep doing what your doing. It’s amazing.

Nice little neighborhood restaurant. We had an gyro, Chicago dog and kids dog. The portions were huge and everything was fresh. My gyro was so full l had to eat a ton of meat first then the sandwich. My husband's dog was really good as well. Very traditional.

New owner's again! Nothing compared to the original owner's quality. Prior owner Robin did a great job running this business in the ground. The new owners? Not any better! Stale hot dog buns, not even steamed, fries cooked in grease So Contaminated they weren't even edible. Not sure about all the good ratings on this place. They need to step their game up to be competitive.

Wednesday Italian beef special, there’s no special! it’s basically just the sandwich. No soda and fries… didn’t want to look I was begging for extras so I just walked out with the beef sandwiches. Quality was good just misleading advertising.
