When my fiancé and I started wedding planning, I somehow stumbled upon Heavitree. The photos on the website looked like they were out of a story book. I reached out via email & the owner Charlotte responded promptly. We scheduled a tour shortly after, and once we arrived, we knew Heavitree was where we wanted to get married. We didn’t even tour any other locations, this was it! Throughout the planning process, Charlotte was available for any and all questions we had. She supplies many items for your use which is included in the cost (linens, chairs etc.) She was always available & eager to help to ensure our wedding day went as smoothly as possible. She has put so much love into this property & we received so many compliments about the location. The breakfast she made for us the morning after our reception was plentiful & delicious. She truly is all about the guests & you can tell she loves what she does. Heavitree Bed & Breakfast is truly one of a kind with so much charm. It is beautiful, unique & the views cannot be beat. If you are looking for a unique wedding venue or a romantic weekend away with your spouse, this is it! I cannot recommend Heavitree enough; Charlotte, thank you so very much for all that you did for us. We cannot wait to come back & visit!

My guests and vendors said that it was the most beautiful place they had ever been to for a wedding. Charlotte tends to your every need.

My wife and I stayed here in mid October, if your looking for an authentic old fashioned farm house feel you found it. I loved everything about it. I would highly recommend staying here. I'm looking forward too staying there again when I'm back in Connecticut.

I knew Heavitree was our venue before we even went for our first visit. From not only the quaint New England charm but also the enthusiasm of Charlotte just in our first conversation I knew it was where we had to have our wedding. Throughout our planning, Charlotte was always there with any question, idea, or plan she was more than happy to assist and made everything feel seamless. There was a point where I was looking for a cupcake display and didn’t really have anything in mind so I left it up to Charlotte to decide. When we arrived for our final meeting, she showed me her idea and at this point I hadn’t showed her our cake topper so she had no idea what it was and her idea matched perfectly! Without even trying or knowing what our cake topper was the cupcake display she came up with was spectacular! That is just one of many instances where Charlotte truly goes above and beyond for her guests. She truly made me feel at ease throughout the entire process, everything we had talked about and even last minute additions/changes were ready, I didn’t have to worry about a thing! The B&B and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking, especially even in the rain! I couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect venue and am so glad to have had Charlotte and her B&B be apart of our a special day. We cannot thank Charlotte enough for everything and can’t wait to go back to visit!

My son and daughter-in-laws wedding was held there on June 10th. I cannot say enough great things about the whole day, the venue and the owner, Charlotte! Charlotte took such great care of us (breakfast was fantastic) and made the whole day spectacular! Everything was so organized. The house, carriage house and grounds are beautiful and I would highly recommend to anyone having a smaller wedding. I give Heavitree 10 stars!!|

Charlotte was the most wonderful, welcoming host! The home is gorgeous and if you love historic homes you need to check it out! Relaxing and cozy!!!

**WEDDING REVIEW** Me and my wife had our wedding here in May. It is a beautiful, quaint tree farm. Beautiful views. However it was the owner charlotte that gave us trouble during the wedding. We found out after signing the contract, and maybe this is our fault, but it is an extra $1000 to get hair and make up done on site. It is another $1000 to stay over night, in addition to the fee you pay for the venue. Once you go inside you see there are a lot of antiques, its a very old house, very neat to see all the "old timey" objects in the house. These are what owner Charlotte is obsessed with. Wife and the Bridal party trying to get ready inside, but ended up having some trouble because charlotte is terrorizing them. "don't sit on that" don't touch that" "be careful of those." She even went as far as saying if anything breaks while the girls are getting ready in the house, we have to pay for it. The wife did mention that on her most important day she couldn't calm her nerves because of the owner bothering them all the time obsessing over the antiques. She even went as far as yelling at my Nephew-in-law because he was just standing in the house. She threatened him not to touch ANYTHING. In addition we wanted fire pits for a smore bar, that became a problem because food can fall on the floor. Make the floor dirty. During the wedding one single little fire pit came out. Kids were having a blast making smores while charlotte frantically ran around cleaning like a lunatic. Lastly, we were asked what we wanted for breakfast. we had about 8-10 people sleep over. We mentioned pancakes for the kids. Maybe Fired eggs, and she replied with okay, how about scrambled eggs, they are easier. This is a bed and breakfast right?? We left early without breakfast, frustrated/annoyed from the night before. In our opinion, if you are going to have a wedding at an Air B&B you cannot be hyper controlling. You have to know and understand all the responsibilities that come with it. The children were well behaved, and we respectful of the venue. I cannot imagine a more rowdy family having there wedding there without charlotte having a meltdown. Charlotte you were great, thank you for everything you did for us, but you need to relax. Don't have a wedding if you cant handle everything that comes with it. If we were to go back, knowing what we know now, we would pick different venue. On my wife's most important day, she could not think about her wedding day. She had to think about where she sat, touched, breathed, and looked.

We attended a wedding here. The venue is very nice with great views. The owner was super sweet and awesome. The rooms looked nice but we did not stay. Friends did and they loved it. I would definitely recommend.
