Heavenly Pancakes - Breakfast restaurant in San Fernando - 665 N Maclay Ave, USA

Not sure what is happening in the San Fernando Valley but the exorbitant prices charged for truly mediocre food is just perplexing. I ordered the hamburger beef steak covered in gravy with mushrooms, two eggs, and a side of fruit. The meat was actually quite bland. Cannot imagine what the flavor would have been were it not covered by the watery sauce. The eggs were fine. The bread was fine. The fruit was very sparse.

It was an interesting place to order sushi but after ordering and tasting it, I must say it was not bad. We ordered the California role which was good, the deep fried shrimp tempura which was ok too much batter and better without it. We also ordered the house margaritas and they were delicious. Spicy garlic edamame were Great.

The restaurant has all types of diner fare ans they do all day breakfast. The food was quite good, and I really enjoyed the the diner atmosphere. The only real negative was the service, as our waiter forgot our toast multiple times. This is only a small complaint as our food arrived quickly and was delicious. Recommended if you want to enjoy classic American fare in a cozy diner!

My family and I have been coming to Heavenly Pancakes for the great food, fair prices and excellent service for years. The dining room isn't too big so if you're coming on a weekend or in the morning be prepared to wait for a bit. Besides a well worth it wait, there is not too much you can complain about with this beloved staple of San Fernando.

If you like Dennis or IHOP but want quality and tasty food this is the place. This is the type of place locals come to. Great food and quality. If you come early there is no wait time. We get here before 8 am and we never have to wait. We keep our order very simple and it’s still tasty and filling. Prices are also reasonable. Staff has been pleasant. And facility is clean and well kept.

This is my second time coming here. The first time was back during covid-19. I had a breakfast burrito and pancakes. It was good and the prices were reasonable. Today it was mother's day weekend so it was a bad time to come. I dine in by myself since I celebrated mother's day one day before (Saturday). I waited a little more than 30 minutes. Once I got seated the server came and took my order. I ended up ordering the 3 meat platter and swapped the pancakes for French Toast instead. Also she asked if I wanted home potatoes or hash brown. Not realizing until my bill came that the was almost 5.25 extra. They should tell you in advance that's an additional charge. The breakfast to be honest was ok. The sausages weren't fully cooked n the potatoes were super dry. I did enjoy the French Toast it was very delicious. I'll try to come back and give this place another chance.

This is a medium sized local neighborhood restaurant that has been serving the community for many years. It is very clean and bright with a friendly and attentive staff. The menu is quite extensive with a huge variety of breakfast choices, lunch options, classic dinners and yummy desserts. 4 different flavors of milk shakes can be added to the dessert choices. The food arrived hot and fresh to our table, and the breakfast burrito I ordered was plentiful and quite tasty. Rather than the standard rice and beans, they used lettuce and tomato mixed in with the ham and eggs. I will definitely be going back to sample more of the many options. I understand there can be a pretty long wait on weekends and during peak hours, but it will be worth it. I went there at 11.30 am on a Tuesday and by noon it was almost full with the lunch crowd, but never seemed crowded.

Decided to come here for the 1st time, never heard of this place before and was just searching for a breakfast spot to go and eat at near by. This place did not disappoint, getting there I had no idea how busy it was going to be but I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff was very friendly and took care of me, the quality of food was great and felt it was fairly priced compared to other restaurants like iHop or Dennys who have NOTHING on this place. Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a very long time. Keep up the great work! I will be coming back here in the future.
