I was excited about our stay at this place. On the day of my travels my kid woke up with high fever and cough. He got tested positive for Covid. I called them and tried to cancel my reservation explaining the situation. They charged me the whole stay without me ever showing up there. They basically stole my $400! Stay away from them. They are after easy money. Never ever again.
Great budget hotel. The rooms were comfortable, nice bathroom, and full sized fridge in the kitchenette. They provided enough towels for our weekend visit. The location is walkable to the town area and in quick driving distance to many hikes and outdoor activities. The area was quiet in the evening.
The location in perfect spot. Four short blocks to lake and beach access, view of slopes and gondola, and right near the more newer shopping area.
The room was ok nice. Dog friendly. The pics I saw online showcased the more impressive rooms. I’m guessing dog friendly room are a little less special idk. But the best was the giant 2-3 person jacuzzi.
Positive: Great location. Walkable to restaurants, shops, and downtown area. Quiet. Liked having a full sized fridge in the kitchenette. Provided enough towels for our weekend stay. Negative: Nope. Worked for everything we needed.
Good location! The hotel is close to several restaurants and businesses, however the area around the hotel is too dark and feels unsafe. The room has a kitchen and dining table, as well as a large refrigerator, making it ideal for extended stays. I did not enjoy my room's bed since the mattress was too firm and the pillows were too soft and small. They also charge an early check-in fee of $35 per hour, but the receptionist offers me a discount if I pay in cash.
Never go there! It's so sad to see such rude and disrespectful staff in a nice city such as Lake Tahoe.
I did book a reservation and cancelled it due to a storm that happened in Lake Tahoe. The weather forecast mentioned it's unsafe to drive or travel at this time.
They refused to send me the refund claiming that people can drive in storms (Very illogical and nonsense argument). The receptionist even hung up the phone on me when I insisted to call the manager. They never put the manager on the phone, for a whole month, through 6 calls. Very unprofessional staff.
Positive: Location Negative: We had no heat, no windows line the room had showed we would, looked nothing like the pics, hotel staff was cold (front desk), the ac didn't cool well enough, the floor to the stairs was slanting and dangerous
Honest Review: The room looks fantastic, is nicely finished, and doesn't have the vibe of a rundown hotel or inn. The "crumbs" people mention in the reviews are actually little sand fragments from the nearby lakeside beach. Since I know from experience that it is difficult to remove the fine sand bits, I must admit that I wasn't disgusted. The drain was plugged, which was a terrible thing, but the shower is OK. Sand was present throughout the space and some on the bed, they were easy to clean. Overall, I would advise to stay at this location because the cost is reasonable and the location is very close to the lake.
The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great.
(Down one star for our ground fl
Great experience. The hotel is well located near restaurants, supermarkets, shopping, and beaches/trails. The rooms were well remodeled and quiet. Check in was very modernized and easy, and the staff reached out the night before (and the day of) to m
We stayed in the Rubicon Room and it was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was wonderful and we absolutely loved the lodge, the roaring fireplace, the big beams, and the gorgeous courtyard. Well worth it!
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
