Super cute space! Food was excellent! Was there for brunch and it didn’t disappoint. I ordered The Old Major with the waffle fries. 10/10 for flavor for the sandwich, it was a ton of food. My gf got the avocado toast and loved it. Will definitely be returning.

Ordered pickup online through their website. The process was super quick and easy. I ordered a spicy fried chicken sandwich, corn ribs, and waffle fries. The food was excellent, and the employees were welcoming and helpful. I love the vibe and design of this place. I didn't take photos of the main dining area so I wouldn't disturb the other customers. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

The first spot I went to when visiting Cleveland for the first time, it did not disappoint! I tried out the chicken wings and the fries, they were amazing, make sure to order the maggi mayo with it. If you go please also order the chicken sandwich for me! They started off in fine dining so all ingredients are top notch. Shout out to Jonah, the owner for a great time and for recommending other Cleveland staples!

Was hungry for something but not sure what to try, so gave a look around and found this cute restaurant. It is in a tucked away location on a sleepy strip of road but once you enter, it is such a cool and eclectic place with some very good food. The smash burger and chicken sandwich were both very tasty with the smash burger slightly edging out the chicken sandwich as the favorite for the meal. You definitely need to try the waffle fries with everything seasoning one order was more than enough for two. Has a nice outdoor seating area as well.

We went during the early, fresh off of work hours on a Friday, so it was near empty. The bar menu was basic, but it was "original" to them. They only offered about 4 wines 🍷 Now, here's why I'm still giving 5 stars 🌟, the food and service are top-notch. It didn't seem like they had true waiters or waitresses, but you are greeted with great cheer, your questions are thoroughly answered, and they let you taste test certain things. 😉 It's basically a heart of gold environment. The food is freaking amazing 👏 I've never seen a chicken sandwich that looks like an entire chicken made into a sandwich 🥪 The burger was extremely good, too. And you don't get your standard buns with these. This bread comes from a local bakery. You'll appreciate that!

OMG do not get the chicken sandwich, you will want it every day for every meal for the rest of your life! The bun is soft and tender, the chicken is crunchy in a soft way similar to tempura. The flavor is like nothing I have ever had. I am hooked! The wings are plump and perfectly cooked!

Probably the best chicken sandwich in my life! The smash burger is outstanding, too. Great decor, music, staff, etc. GO!

Heart of Gold has so far been the best bite to eat in Cleveland since I moved here from the South. The atmosphere is trendy but laid back with good lighting and a cute small bar. I really loved the menu design, it is very obvious that even the smallest details of this restaurant have been thought out. The overall menu has an interesting and cohesive direction that incorporates Southern and Italian food - which to me was very reminiscent of the kind of fare you'd find in a lunch spot in New Orleans - especially their Tiki drinks on offer. The service was wonderful; everyone was kind, helpful, and seemed excited about the food. We chose the Roman, the fried chicken sandwich, the waffle fries, and the onion rings with the house made ranch. The Roman is a solid sandwich where you can taste every part mentioned in the menu description. I thought all of the ingredients played well together and reminded me a bit of a muffeletta. The waffle fries were very good - I thought the everything seasoning was a very smart choice (the ridges in the fries hold the seasoning in place) and were perfect for dipping. The fry crispiness to fluffiness ratio was to me a perfect balance. My only complaint is that they tasted a little too much of oil. The onion rings were very surprising to me. They are to this date the best onion rings I've ever had. The breading was perfectly crispy and the onion stayed in place upon biting it - which is typically my main issue with onion rings. The sauce drizzled on top paired well with the sweetness with the onion, and the horsey sauce added the right amount of heat. The chicken sandwich was overall a good chicken sandwich. The bread and the maggi mayo punch above their weight and those alone make this a stand out. The chicken was crispy and perfectly cooked. I personally think the chicken itself could use a little more flavor, but again that is only my taste. I can't wait to return to this restaurant and try the other items on the menu. Don't miss out on this place.
