Hazleton Motor Inn - Motel in Hazleton - 615 E Broad St, USA

I travel alone, and need a room just so I dont fall asleep at the wheel. Theres nothing fancy here, but my room was clean, and bed was comfortable. They did not offer a wake up call, and the alarm clock in my room didnt work.... there was a nice new microwave and fridge, but those were the only items in the room that were new. ||||Ive stayed here twice now... worth it to me for 50 bucks, Im sure Ill stay here again when travelling through PA...But I wouldnt make it a romantic destination, or a place Id want to spend more than a night or two in.

Me and my wife went out to Hazleton for Penn State family weekend to visit with our son. We left Massachusetts at 7:30 for the 6 hour drive. I called the motel to inform them that we would be arriving at 1:00 AM and the man said they were open 24 hours. When we arrived I had to ring a door bell and wake someone up to register. The woman was extremely rude, and got even more agitated when i didn't have cash and wanted to pay with a credit card. I had a coupon that they advertised in a local paper and this only added to the tension that was already in the air. She told me the coupon was only good for 1 night, i would need 2 coupons for 2 nights so i paid for 1 night and finally went off to the room. The room was terrible, but acceptable for $47. The next morning i went out for coffee and another coupon, and at 11:00 sharp someone was pounding on the door telling my wife "get out checkout time is at 11" My wife explained we were staying another night and they went away. When i got back I payed for another night with my coupon and went back to the room and we got ready. Just before we left for the day we noticed the toilet would not flush from lack of water. I walked down to the office and explained the toilet is broke, we will be out for the rest of the day, if someone could fix the toilet, and drop off a couple of clean towel, it would be great. The woman said "we don't have 24 hour room service, we tried to clean your room and the woman wouldn't let us" I explained to the woman, I'm not asking you to clean the room, just fix the broken toilet, and if you throw a couple of clean towel on the bed that would be great. We went back and forth with this 3 times, before i left. At 1:30 AM we returned to the room with a still broken toilet, and no clean towels. I wanted to go ring the bell and wake them up and scream, but i bite my tongue and told my wife we can deal with it in the morning. At 11:00 sharp, the man was at the door demanding we vacate the motel. I explained we just woke up and we needed a few minutes to organize. The man threatened to call the cops, told us never to come back to this motel, and proceeded to shut off the hot water to the room. we packed out stuff and left the key in the room and took off, and trust me we will never go back there again.

This place is filthy shady and not kept. It apparently allows married girls from Mount Carmel to have conduct business with men other then their husbands. Missing women stay here and they will only give information to police..The place reeks the only thing that smells worse is the sheets when they are done.

There are lots of rules attached to the budget price. No guests after 🕘. It's different. Parking is easy. The air conditioning doesn't work well. For a few dollars more there are some more comfortable places.

Due to a nor'Eastern snow storm while traveling we had no choice but to stop here. It was late and our car could not go further...what a mistake! This place smelled of cigarettes so bad it was like living in an ashtray! Cigarette burns in sheets, blankets, carpets, and bathroom. We couldn't even sleep in the beds they were so bad. Graffiti on the walls and in shower. Main doors unsecure and open all night. Do not stay here if you want to sleep. We sat on table until roads cleared and was safe to travel. We should have slept in our car....I rate this place a negative 10!!!

Found a coupon for 40$ +tx, owner was not happy about us asking him for a room at that price.||To tell you the truth I would not paid more then 40$ for the room, I just not wort it.||||Where to start, bed are not that coney, town is kind of shady, location is bad, 5 mins drive from the I81. Fan in the bathroom is heater. Bathroom was not that clean, okay but glad I had sandals for taking my shower. Bed are old and not really comfortable. Pillow are paper thin and about the comfortable as a brick of paper.||||I am use to cheap motel so here is the bottom line :||||Cheap, old and not really worth it.

When arriving at the motel, I had to wait around 10 minutes until anyone arrived to check me in. This occurred at approximately 1pm, so staff should have been available for check in. Also, Mrs. Patel attempted to charge me extra money for my 4 year old son staying in the room, although all advertised policies (motel office, Internet) clearly state that children stay free. Once I asked her about her policies, her negative attitude was evident. BEWARE of this motel, they are all about trying to take every extra dime that they can get from you!!!|

Perfect for the price. The rooms are huge ans in an old funky house. There is a KFC, a bar and gas station in walking distance. No breakfast but it's okay excuse everywhere else in town wants $75- $80+ for rooms.
