Haywood Smokehouse gets a 5-star rating! The brisket burger was incredibly rich and tasty, and the pulled pork was moist and bursting with flavor. The sides were equally impressive, especially the collard greens, green beans, and coleslaw—each a delicious complement to the main dishes. Notably, Haywood Smokehouse goes beyond great food; their dog-friendly outside area makes it a perfect spot for pet owners. Enjoying a fantastic meal with a welcoming atmosphere for both humans and their furry companions adds an extra layer of appeal to this already stellar dining experience. To top it off, the banana pudding was a wow-worthy treat. A must-try for anyone craving mouthwatering barbecue with a side of exceptional service!

Was a little surprised to find a “house” turned into a BBQ joint.. but it was actually really neat! The food can’t be described it was so good😋 the Brisket was some of the best I’ve ever had, like a good 9.8 out of 10… Service was very friendly and quick. Prices ain’t bad at all either. Will definitely be back if I’m in the area again.

When riding I done a quick restaurant search and Haywood Smokehouse popped up. So glad we stopped. Great service, great food, awesome sauces to pick from, best peach cobbler ever !!! Our waitress Courtney super friendly and a great waitress!

Oh my goodness! Holy BBQ!!! I just moved to Waynesville and haven’t explored any restaurants. I had the opportunity to feed the missionaries from my church, both from the west coast. We took a gamble by selecting a place to eat. Gamble paid off! We all loved the food, one even devoured the collard greens 🤷🏻‍♀️. Brisket was melt in your mouth delicious. The pork equally delicious. I loved the strawberry chipotle and the japple sauces, although the sauce isn’t needed or required! It was so goods…only a few bites in I asked Chelsea to bring me a two meat platter to go. Our server Chelsea was delightful! I’ll be back for sure!!!

Our waiter Jim was amazing as he handled the entire outside dinning area. Sides were delicious and ribs were perfection according to those who ate them. They were out of smoked white chicken meat the day we visited.

This is a smoke house! It's about the meat. And the meat is for sure the star. This is not about fancy sides or done up add-ons, however the Brunswick soup is phenomenal. Also the sauces are home made and very good add ons. If you have never had banana pudding, get you some of theirs, you will be in love and making it for desert. The staff was amazing and they were dog friendly. Definitely will be on our list of places to go in the future.

Wow, just wow. Might be the best BBQ I've ever had. So good that we came back 2 days later for 2nds. Brisket is to die for and the baked beans are off the charts. Used the beans to dip my fries in - this is a must stop!

Nobody does it better. My small family came here multiple times over the last couple years, with my mom who was battling cancer. We sat with Jim, who took care of us like a friend. The staff here is always incredible, a true down home place that treats you the same. He was careful with us due to moms condition, always made sure she was happy with everything. My mom passed a couple months ago, but this place serves an intricate part of our memories in her final years. She is from North Carolina, and adored the BBQ here. My family that remains looks forward to our next trip here so we can indulge yet again in the best BBQ in the state. Thankful so much for this place and how they operate! You guys are awesome!
