Haywire - New American restaurant in Plano - 5901 Winthrop St Ste 110, USA

So good! We ordered the sampler appetizer for the table. The fried green tomatoes were the best and the sauce that went with it was delicious. I had the garlic stuffed steak and it was amazing! Love the atmosphere and the service!! Will definitely be back.

Parking is very convenient. They have valet right in front or parking garage around the corner that they can validate. Atmosphere is nice and intimate. We came close to closing and service was quick. I appreciate a restaurant that has moscato I can rarely ever find that as an option so I definitely appreciated it. They have great Caesar salad and Mac and cheese. Venison chili was alright and the cornbread was a little hard. Overall great experience.

This was not a good experience as far as food and service. Haywire was recommended to us (husband and Self). When you first walk in the ambiance is nice and classy, a real elegant feel. The hostess on the first floor suggested that we go to t third floor (we let her know this was our first time at the establishment). When we got upstairs we were not greeted however, we found a good spot to sit (self seating on the third floor) and waited for a waiter/ waitress (roughly 12-15 minutes after sitting down). We had just had an amazing experience not too far from the location so my husband and I had a lot to discuss (so I recognized it and continued to converse with my husband). Mind you it was only 3 tables that were occupied 2 booths 1 with 3 people the other with 4 and the high table which is were we sat. After about 20 minutes a waitress comes over to get our drink order that then takes an additional 15 minutes there were 5 people at the bar several servers. We ordered the crab dip for our appetizer that came out pretty quickly, and we share a 33oz Tomahawk steak. This took forever to come out. We asked for it to be cooked medium and when we did finally receive it, it was definitely WELL. (For the price please cook my steak the way that I ordered/asked). Our waitress took it back with no problem. By this time we were ready to go!!! After another 20 minutes the manager brought it back out (I’ll share a photo below, yes I took it home it was expensive). My husband knows how I feel about food it completely changed my mood. I was ready to GO!!! I don’t want to talk to anyone because then I will be speaking passionately to you about my food!!!!! I was very disappointed. Staff is friendly, but slow. I don’t think I will be back. Maybe we should have chosen the 2nd floor. The place is really cool and I wish my experience was better. Food is my entire love language. I wonder if they would ever make it right?

Haywire is always a great go-to spot. I've been here numerous times for brunch, love that you can make reservations, but this time a friend and I decided to go for lunch and I look forward to returning soon. We had a great waiter, Austin, who did an amazing job at making recommendations for us. It was a beautiful day outside so we sat on the second floor of the restaurant and enjoyed the patio where they had fans going so it made it completely comfortable during a Texas summer (keep in mind, this was in September and not during the hottest months of the summer). We enjoyed the view and being able to look out and see the concert area. We started with the Pork Belly "Burnt Ends" which was absolutely amazing! So tender and the perfect amount of spicy and sweet flavoring. For lunch, my friend had the Blackened Catfish and Gulf Shrimp which Austin recommended she have grilled as opposed to my fried and my friend said it was a great choice. I decided to have the chef's special for the day which was fish tacos and a side - I chose the brussels sprouts which did not disappoint. The food was great and the ambiance was even better. I'll definitely be back for lunch or dinner and crossing my fingers that Austin is there to take care of us again.

Upon entering, one is greeted by the friendly staff. Recommend having a reservation. Waiting in the bar area is a delight due to its atmosphere and decor plus a well stocked inventory of liquor. Located on first floor. The restaurant is located on the second floor. Wonderful decor, great vibe, very attentive staff(thank you Santiago).The drinks, the food and dessert were awesome, will definitely return on next trip.

The service and aesthetics of this restaurant are very nice. I had the catfish, shrimp, and a side of corn. No bells and whistles here. We also had an appetizer sampler (fried green tomatoes, onion rings, tacos, and chips & queso. Everything was good, but the tacos were not my jam. Next time I will try something else from the menu. It's a bit pricey and it doesn't coincide with the portion size. Saturday 12/09/2023- I met some friends for drinks on the rooftop. It was such a vibe🎉 I had a great time! Steven the bartender did an excellent job preparing our drinks and providing recommendations! The cream dip was yummy 🤤 They also provide a cigar menu for those into cigars. They earned a couple of ✭✭ due to my recent experience. 👍😁

Top notch service here last night! Started with cigars and whiskey on the roof top, then down to the second floor for dinner and watching the game. Four very happy, very full guests. Loved their starters, fried tomatoes, and tacos, then dinner, finished with their bread pudding. 10/10 experience! Love the decor, different dining options, craft drinks and large dinner menu. Everything is locally sourced. The best of Texas!

Attended a birthday dinner at this location last night. I ordered the ribs, which were very good. The cornbread is also delicious. Others in our party also loved their food. The drinks were good, but takes some time to come out. I personally love the scenery and atmosphere. Our server, Bree, was great! She was very attentive, knowledgeable, and took time to converse.
