Awesome experience on the Hays Street Bridge. Best place to take all types of pictures. I just love how my daughter's pictures came out even with a little rain :)
Nice view of downtown San Antonio and also Alamo Beer company right underneath. You can sit on the side of the bridge and watch live bands play. It’s a small spot tucked away that not many people seem to know about. Great place for a photo shoot or just a walk. It’s lit up at night so plenty of light to navigate around.
There are so many things to say about this bridge. The architecture is so cool and the restoration has been done well. We visited on January 2nd and couldn’t believe all the firework debris and abandoned alcohol bottles and cans. As we walked across the bridge and saw what we could see, we were greeted with the strong smell of burning marihuana from a nearby skateboard park. It was sad to see all the “camps” along the railroad tracks and sad to see the neighborhood kids having to maneuver these sights and smells.
I visited Hays Street Bridge since online reports suggested that the location had a nice view of the downtown skyline. The bridge is a good place to see downtown. I recommend approaching from the N Charles Street entrance since that's a better area and allows one to walk toward the skyline. In the parking lot below, there was some sort of event with multiple vendors and canopies, and the building with the Alamo on it was lively too, but I didn't investigate what was happening.
Love going to the Hays street bridge to watch the sun set over downtown. There's always people there taking pictures or just hanging out watching the sunset. I've gotten so many great pics and made fun memories with friends and family there.
Cool spot, nice views, bars and breweries nearby. The train does stop traffic in the area, you've been warned.
We randomly went to the bridge the other day because my husband finally gave in after years of bugging him. It was a nice day out so we were able to stay there for a while to walk around and take pictures. We all had fun and the views were beautiful. I understand why everyone in San Antonio goes there to take pictures all the time. On our way down the stairs we saw there was a rock garden that had colors available for people to contribute to the garden with their own art. I thought it was pretty cool. Some people were very creative coloring the rocks. There was also a mural under the bridge that was pretty cool too. We took two kids with us and both of them had fun too.
Fun photo-op! We strolled across the bridge after visiting the Alamo Brewery. Great views of the city and of the brewery below. We took lots of pics of our group since the bridge made a great backdrop. A fun and distinctive landmark to mark your visit to the fun city of San Antonio. A really fun treat to find this place!

Fourth time here. We obviously always have a blast. Itâs a great activity for children and adults to play together. And as an adult, weâre having just as much fun as the kids. Parking is usually pretty easy too. Highly recommend!
