This park is expansive, well thought out and maintained. It is supported by individual donors, which explains the excellent quality covered pavilions with tables, generous sized waste cans and availability of waste bags around the entire perimeter. This is a town that recognizes the need for dogs to play off leash. It is part of a massive sports complex. The large dog part of the park is at least 2 football fields in size. The small dog side appears a bit smaller. Their dog watering stations are great.. See pic. A+ job here. Love it. Easy stop for travelers on the I-70.
Overall great dog park with small and large dog areas. Both have plenty of space for dogs to run. Only issues are the distance from the highway or Vine Street and that sometimes it smells very strongly of sewage.
Such a great area to stop during a roadtrip. Both small and large sides are huge and perfect for them to run around. Didn't see any water fountains. We stopped there twice during our holiday trip. Plenty of parking available.
NICE dog park. Large enough for numerous dogs to run, but not be tripping over each other (unless they want to be).
Hays Dog Park is tucked away on the Fort Hays State University sports complex, which feels a little out of place, but when you find the park, you will be impressed. The park is very large and it is divided in half for small and large dogs. There are shelter houses with shade, interactive sections for the dogs including hills, fire hydrants, a tire slalom and more. There was also a watering station for the dogs.
This dog park is fantastic. It’s about 5 minutes off of I-70. There are actually two dog parks that are separated by the fence - one for big dogs and one for small dogs. It’s completely fenced in with very tall chain link fencing, it’s HUGE, it has covered shelter areas with benches and picnic tables, little obstacles for dogs to play on, cleanup stations with bags, two beautiful Rainbow Bridge memorials, and it’s very clean. It’s located in the Fort Hays State University Bickle Schmidt Sports Complex. Great spot to let your pups run wild for a bit.
I was very impressed by the size of this dog park! Two fenced in areas for small dogs or large dogs. The pups can run until they're tired and still run some more; a perfect place to stretch their legs and play. I will definitely be back!
All the local elders will give you nasty looks if you aren't from around their town. It was really a welcoming experience...
First time in and wasn't disappointed. The space is small but well laid out. Nice outdoor area. The beers that I tried were all solid. Well flavored. Will definitely make another stop in the future.
We had such a great experience overall. The museum is super clean and easy to navigate. They have a variety of things on display from mineral and fossils to live animals and interactive activities. We throughly enjoyed the dinosaurs on display now an
This is the best small town rec renter gym I have ever visited. The facilities are clean, the equipment is in great condition if not brand new and there is extra equipment you wouldn't normally expect in a gym. The staff is friendly, and it seems lik
I love this store. In the spring, they have a great selection of plants and pots. Lots of Christmas gift ideas, and I bought my tree there this year. It's just a great place to shop.
