Seriously! I'm not kidding The food here is absolutely exceptional! Recommended by a local! In a strip mall at a gas station. I was apprehensive.... it is so darn good! Your new destination dinner location. We sat outside on a lovely little deck, and Amanda's customer service so was amazing! I had the tenderloin and my husband had a NY Strip steak. They were cooked to perfection. Served with apsagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Bread with dipping oil and vinegar was brought to the table prior to our meal. I'm coming back just for this amazing food and exceptional customer service!

Great little hole in the wall with fantastic customer service! Tried the halibut and steak medallions with a few side salads. All was pretty good! Give it a try!

Unbelievable that this is in a bad station parking lot! This place should have a months long reservation list. The food is so very good, read that Michelin star good. I've eaten at MS restaurants all over the world and can't believe that this little gem is hidden in a strip mall. If the world only knew, it would take you 6 months and triple the price to eat here. BRAVO!

First time at Hay J’s. We had the Rib Eye with Scampi, Clam Chowder and the Halibut Cakes. Steak was the best we’ve eaten in years anywhere. Scampi was overcooked but good flavor. Soup was good with a strong bacon flavor. Halibut cakes wouldn’t do again. To breaded for us can’t taste the Halibut. Being a mild fish it was too over taken with the rest of the ingredients. But the lime sour was delicious. One of the best parts of the meal was our waitress Savannah! She was great in suggestions, service and attitude! She’s a credit to the establishment! ( And no I’m not her mother😉)

This unassuming bistro is Liberty Lake’s best kept secret. The lunch special parmesan crusted halibut was expertly cooked to perfection.

I will say Hay J's has exceeded our expectations. Our dinner was outstanding. Angela was our server was excellent and we could not have had a better experience. We are from out of town, but we will be sure to visit the next time we are in town. Thank you for a great evening and an excellent dinner! I highly recommend dining here. Very expensive place to eat. A couple to have a glass of house wine, salad and an entree will be north of $200 with tip. Food is great. Service is hit and miss with a general feeling that they think you are there to drop a couple hundred dollars. I was always told that a restaurant seeks to get 3 glasses of wine out of a bottle. I think they target 5 which is disappointing when you are spending that kind of money. I suppose they figure you will order two with such light pours. It’s get very loud when full so don’t expect a nice quiet dinner with you spouse. It’s like Red Robin loud.

How is a restaurant this good right next to a gas station on the interstate? I'm sure glad I tried it out. Exceptional food and service. I had a seafood Cobb, which had fresh veggies and tasty shrimp and salmon. They offer proper entrees, a full bar (with quality wine), plus burgers and sandwiches. Very nice and warm service. What a pleasant surprise. Top end lunch.
