for my first experience I can say that everthing was ok, food, ambiance, serving. I like spicy food but was not that spicy as I think. Taco very good
Great food and service. Loved the atmosphere! The fried red snapper was amazing. (There is a 45 min wait for this particular dish, just a heads up) but well worth the wait!
If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food this place would not be at the top of the list. Food was ok, food was overpriced specially for the portion sizes. Service was good, favorite part was probably the guy playing guitar. I got one of the combination plates and we also tried the chicken and shrimp fajitas. It’s nice that they give you the option of either corn or flour tortillas but I could easily tell they were probably microwaved.
Decent food so so margaritas for us. Quality ingredients but flavors are not wow. Tacos, fried red snapper, guacamole or even premium margaritas ($15) all just okay. I have try so much better than this. Place is clean and roomy service is excellent and food came out fast. Plenty of parking around the area.
The food at Hay Carumba is consistently excellent! The carne asada is mouth watering and the burrito has fresh ingredients that taste great! Additionally, they have a really good salsa. It is perfect with chips, but I put it on everything there. Lastly, the Margaritas are very tasty with a big selection of flavors. My family and I have been going there for years, and honestly, even if the food was mediocre, we would still go because the staff is so friendly and treat you like family. It’s just an all around great restaurant, and I highly recommend giving it a try! Five stars!
Another "not my first time here, but first Google Review" for this place! It has been years since I last visited. Their Sangria is excellent and unique, and not pre-mixed. Tortilla Chips and Salsa, of course are served complimentary. The Salsa has a nice kick to it. Pictured here are two Steak Tacos and the Hay Caramba Combinacion. Both the Tortillas and diced up Steak pieces are nice and thick. Not salty. Would try the tacos next time with only onions and cilantro next time. The Cheese Enchilada that comes with the Hay Caramba Combinacion was great - melts in your mouth! Will be back more often for sure.
What great Mexican food. Hay Caramba has a terrific outdoor patio offering great people-watching opportunities on a pleasant day at Park Ridge. I ordered the tacos de pescado, aka fish tacos, which consisted of three tacos. You had a choice of either salmon or tilapia, and I picked the tilapia. The tacos came with red cabbage, pico de gallo and chipotle sour cream. My server put the chipotle sour cream on the side, which is a perfect touch, as I usually ask for that stuff on the side. Fish was seasoned well, and the overall taco was delicious! Meal came with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was a "2" on a spicy scale of 5. Chips were room temperature needed some salt, which the server gladly provided. I sat outside so I didn't get a glimpse of what it looked like inside, but from the pictures on their website, it looks massive. As far as the outdoor patio, they have plenty of seating, some on the adjacent sidewalk, the other more in the inwards of the restaurant. I sat in the latter, which offered just the perfect amount of shade on this hot Park Ridge afternoon. Hay Caramba also had margaritas that I regrettably did not try, but will definitely do so next time! Server was good, food was good, and overall experience was great.
Great margaritas, relatively quiet, not too busy even on a Tuesday. Big open space, Gives the customer the impression of the inside a large villa or Hacienda. I decided to get a variety plate, But perhaps should have asked for something more specific. The flavor is great and the portion was fine, but I probably would have enjoyed a full sized burrito or plate full of tacos rather than a sampling of everything all at once. Still, my parents were able to get drunk and have a good time, Food was prompt, the ceviche was very fresh tasting and I loved the shredded chicken tostada. This probably isn't much of a party restaurant, but that's fine, I would prefer a slightly more intimate and controlled environment for this kind of meal, anyway. We actually canceled our reservations at another restaurant because this one seemed more inviting. Great 2 hours with my folks. 👍
I bike here four times in two months and never disappointed. Amazing sandwiches, great wine, and great service. Now open six days, late open for some days and offering the breakfast.
This was a great place to have dinner on a Saturday night in downtown Park ridge. The sushi was excellent, the ramen noodles were great and we had a few of their appetizers including crispy mini egg rolls, wontons and crab rangoon.
In the short time that Iâve been at Orangetheory Park Ridge I have loved and thrived in every class. Every class is different, doable, and yet I know the routine. All of the coaches have been wonderful and take the time to show you how to exercise
We celebrated a birthday with family here and had a delicious dinner. We started with a few appetizers of Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna and Calamari. We also shared some entrees: Filet Mignon, Braised Short Rib, Yellowtail Collar, Blufish Bowl, Nabe Yaki
