Hawthorne Plaza Inn - Motel in Hawthorne - 12043 Hawthorne Blvd, USA

I took a quick trip to LA for a festival, and came across Hawthorne Plaza Inn. Because the trip was quickly planned, I did some quick research, and decided to go here after seeing decent reviews. Honestly, I'm glad I did. The hotel staff were nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy. The craziest thing is, after all of the hotels I've stayed at over the years, this was the quietest and most comfortable experience I've had. From 5 star to 2 star hotels, there was no contest. We had an issue with our key not unlocking our room, but they were able to get us in, and the next morning they had us move into the room next door. The rooms are clean and tidy. But it's worth noting that it's DEFINITELY an older building. So don't be surprised if the room smells odd or stagnant when you step in your room for the first time. Or if you notice paint chips, scuffs here and there, etc. If that kind of thing bothers you, then this place isn't for you. Mind you the bed and showers were spotless, which was much more important to me. The area is great as well as there were a lot of places to walk to. From restaurants, to grocery stores, to pharmacies. It was all very convenient. If you're ubering anywhere (airport or downtown LA) it's about $30-ish each way, though there are variables. For the price you pay, and the convenience that comes with it, I feel it's definitely worth the money.

The area near hotel felt very safe and was calm. There is a great mix of restaurants, and stores nearby. The room was spacious, bed was cozy and bathroom set up is nice for my selfie girls. All in all I enjoyed my experience and will happily return! I don't remember the 2 gentleman that helped me but they were wonderful, much love to them!

Way better than Motel 6! Loved that they had a clean microwave, fridge & coffee maker with hot chocolate packets too. Room was super clean too! Wish they improved the lighting in the bathroom but other than that recommended for a short stay! We also got our deposit back immediately during checkout.

Un hôtel vieillissant mais qui fait le job niveau rapport qualité/prix et surtout emplacement. Un des meilleurs dinner de SOCAL à proximité : Chip's. Suffisant pour un groupe d'amis qui privilégie les activités au confort des hôtels...

I had a wonderful experience here at Hawthorne Plaza Inn. I asked for an early entry all over LAX area and all small and large hotel businesses wanted me to wait four to five hours later before booking. I’m glad Tony helped me get a room as soon as possible! I stayed for 2 and a half days, couldn’t complain. Very quiet atmosphere and the was clean and comfy for the price. I will book again when I’m in need of a mini vacation! Thank you for the hospitality!

Reasonably priced accommodation close to LAX. The room had all necessary amenities, the only drawback is the lack of soundproofing (you’d be hearing cars, not airplanes)

Just wanted to take the time to leave this review and show appreciation to this motel for coming through for me in my time of need. The owner was so nice, respectful, understanding, and communicative with me. The rooms were nice with free wifi. Mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with hot cocoa. It was a nice getaway that I didn't realize I needed. Come check this place out if your in the area! Love yall 💓

Positive: nothing Negative: The area is unsafe. Drug users were hanging around. Someone tried to get into our room in the middle of the night. The wifi didn't work. The bathroom was dirty, and the shower drain was backed up. The microwave looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Negative: ""
