Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham North Charleston SC - Hotel in North Charleston - 7645 Northwoods Blvd, USA

This is the worse place ever; I wouldn't booked here again if someone said for free. The staff at the front desk, horrible namely Monica. After we entered our rooms to discovered the bed sheets were dirty and the mattress appeared even worse. Like it was pulled out of a dumpster. The floor was dirty, room dusty and bad lighting in the rooms, phone didn't work to call the front desk. It appears people lived there long-term. The grounds of the place is unkept. Monica came up to look at the room to observed the nasty sheets and mattress. Monica, even stated to us "my opinion I wouldn't stay here." I attached the pictures below. Monica who initially stated a discount and we was going to clean the room and change the beds ourselves. However, they didn't have any mattress covers or any other room to put us in. Then, they stated they would refund our money for both nights and deposit. The same night, we rebooked and stayed at a different hotel. I called today about my refund and the morning staff said called after 2 to speak to Crystal the manager per no refunded noted or in progress. I called and you know who answered Monica, who initially handle our refund. I asked to speak to Crystal or upper management she refused and continue to give us the run around and even putting us on hold for long periods of time, and contradicting everything she had once told us when we were there. I gave her piece of my mind and I'm warning everyone do not book at this hotel. This hotel gives the Wyndham brand a bad name.

This hotel is located in a good place if you are attending something at the Credit one arena. We had to ask for extra towels as a party of 4 can not survive with just 4 towels. I know it is customary to put a deposit for damages, but this hotels seems to have an issue with returning your deposit. I know there were no damages that were caused by us, but yet I still have not gotten my deposit back. They seem to have lots of extended stay rooms as well and parking near your room is not possible.

The manager is very shady and she likes to come in your room and take pictures and plant drugs while you’re sleeping or away in efforts to keep your deposit. Very disturbed woman. She is unprofessional & other guests claim she is purchasing drugs from them. Upon arrival I seen multiple bugs in my room. Used condom under bedsheet. My husband tried to get us moved to another room. She proceeded to ask him for his phone number??? We will not be returning.

Positive: The space inside of the suite was perfect. Negative: Microwave didn?t work, Yucky stained, shower curtain, dirty carpet, coffee, pots that looked like it had been washed in months with old coffee inside of it, The leaves from fall were still on the ground i at the end of May. Sweet was not cleaned at all.

Roaches. Mold. Drug-like activity in parking lot. Gross. Disgusting. Crooked managers refuse to reimburse my credit card and settle this properly. We NEVER used the room... they KNOW that yet refuse to cooperate. Wyndham is horrible ... never stay at a Wyndham. They refuse to be professional and reimburse me $150.65. Really? My reviews will continue with a big ZERO score. Linda M.

I cannot recommend this hotel to any travelers based on its incredibly poor quality and inability to provide a basic standard of comfort. To state a few issues: There were no hand towels and no floor rug/towel for bathroom. The white towels that were there left white, fuzzy residue on my body when I used them. The floor, especially in the bathroom, was dirty, magnified by the fact that there is a lot of uncarpeted flooring in this space. The bathroom door frames and corners of the bathroom floor were particularly dirty, and the shower curtain was not long enough, so when I showered, water went all over the floor. The shower head was of very poor quality, and the water pressure was extremely low because some of the water was diverted to the spout instead of the head. To make matters worse, the air conditioner was not working properly - the thermostat seemed to be stuck at 81 degrees in the room, running constantly (and very loud) but not cooling. This wasn't the end of the problems with this hotel. There were no Kleenex tissues in the room, only one trash can, and the alarm clock was missing so many LEDs that I couldn’t tell the time. There was also a random beep in the room at 4:30 a.m. both days of our stay...no idea where it originated, but it woke me up both times. Oh, and there were no creamer packets for coffee in the room, either. I will never stay here again and cannot recommend it to anyone. The only thing I can say about it that is even remotely positive is the location, which is mildly convenient for travelers to North Charleston, though not in a great area of town. I've reached out to Wyndham customer support to express how dissatisfied I am, and have yet to receive a reply.

1st room I went in had no ac. It’s been 95 outside all day. 2nd room had people in it. 3rd room also had people in it. Reeked of cannabis. I ain’t getting charged for that Lady basically ignored me and started helping other people. Big surprise they also had problems with their room. Walked up and the door was wide open. Pictures don’t line up to what this place is. Don’t stay here you will be disappointed and completely unsafe. Here’s a photo of Kim outside chatting it up with a friend while corporate was calling the front desk. This place is a joke.

Oven had dry chicken that was never cleaned up. Roaches would come and play at night. Breakfast in the mornings looked like it did the day before, same food , same spills everything. We had to get our kids out the pool because was told a condom was found in it. Carpets were nasty and haven’t been vacuumed in a while. Location was good though to the beach and food. Wouldn’t come again though spend the extra 50 and go someplace more nice.
