There are 2 outlooks accessible from the same parking area, Hawn's & Ridenour. Ridenour is right at the parking lot, & overlooks the dam area. Hawn's is 300 yards down a trail, & overlooks a prettier area of the lake. My mother was able to get to both in a motorized scooter. The roughest part of Hawn's is approx the 1st 50' of the trail; after that it is wider & flatter.
This has got to be one of the most magnificent views in PA. If you're looking for an amazing sunset view, this is it! The lake and the rolling hills really are stunning to take in!
It was a pretty cool place. The views are amazing! There was some trash laying around. I don't see why people are so lazy and just let things lay. Anyway, if your in the area I would suggest stopping by. And I hear the sunsets here are amazing.
Went here on November of 2022. Small walk to get to this amazing scenery of mountains & Lake. Perfect spot for a picnic 🧺 or take photos. Highly recommend! 👍🏻
Beauitful view of the lake and dam. It was overcast with limited visibility when we went, but it was still great and worth the trip. Very short walk to see the second view up the lake. Don't leave without seeing it.
Just a wonderful peaceful place to walk to and not a hard walk at all. Very easy to access even for those who are handicapped. The views are amazing! Totally worth taking a trip. This faces the west so evening sunsets are the best!

It’s beautiful and there’s trails that lead to cliffs you can access fairly easily.
