Hawks Cay Resort - Hotel in Duck Key - 61 Hawks Cay Blvd, USA

My husband and I went to Hawks Cay Resort for a relaxing, long weekend trip that included some fishing and sunshine. From the first moment walking in, the resort staff were very welcoming and treated us well. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are having a good time. The bartenders at each of the bars we went to were very personable and polite, as well as attentive. We had great conversations with each of them and felt that we had new friends for the next time we come back. TJ (bartender by the pool) was exceptional and even stayed late one night while we were watching a playoff game on the tv in the bar despite the fact that it was extremely windy, making it feel cold. ||We also caught some fish and had the cooks at Angler and Ale cook up some of it for dinner one night. They did an awesome job with the fish and it was perhaps the best meal of the weekend. The blackened and grilled snapper was scrumptious, as was the fried fish. We highly recommend to anyone who goes fishing while they are here to bring some of their fresh catch and have the cooks at Angler and Ale cook some up for you. ||We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing get away.

Hawks Cay Hotel portion was a very nice facility! Very nice and clean inside the lobby, resteraunts, bars, pool (heated), beachside and grounds. Lots of activities to do with kids: basketball court, soccer, volleyball, tennis, bicycles, etc. The rooms were fairly spacious with daily maid service and bathrooms laid out so two people can use the bathroom at the same time. Beds were the only so-so part of the room (very soft). Jason at the adult pool bar was a great bartender and enjoyed talking to him! Terry at the 61 Prime Bar was amazing! He could make any drink possible and had his own delicious versions of drinks if you wanted to try them! Be prepared to charge to the room or by card. No cash at this resort. The only suggestion would be to make sodas for children free instead of for $5 each and to have the water out in the lobby earlier in the morning so those leaving earlier or exercising could get cold water earlier. Other than that, it is a wonderful, family friendly resort with many options for kids to do to keep busy and entertained. Of not traveling woth kids, the resort also has a very nice over 21 side of the resort for peace and quiet or to get away from the kids of need be. 😀

We had a great time at this beautiful resort! Rooms were spacious and clean, resort and pool area gorgeous. All the amenities were wonderful! The last night we had a delicious dinner (best meal there) at the outdoor Tiki Bar, Katy our bartender was so fun and nice. She’s a gem at the resort and made our last night there a great time!

We stayed here over the holidays and it was PERFECT! Hawks Cay sits on a small, quiet key with ALL the amenities you could ever need. It was safe, so our kids could go to the pools and get snacks at the shop without constant supervision. There is even an adult pool for us while the kids are in the playing pool.|The lagoon was so much fun!! Free stand-up paddle boards and kayaks to use, safe and fun to swim in and tiki huts with sandy beaches.|Service was amazing and the staff really took the time to connect with us. We never had a problem with anyone and there were smiles everywhere!

This place is amazing, rooms are modern and comfy, staff is really nice and welcoming and very nice location. Will def recommend BUT giving 1 star because why would a hotel of this category allow to cut the lawn at 7:45 am? ... SERIOUSLY at 7:45 am?!! This is a hotel for people to relax and disconnect, not to be woken up with this annoying noise. Unbelievable.

Absolutely beautiful place we loved it so much there !! Only complaint is the bathtub / bathroom area was very old and not nicely kept. but overall the beds were cozy and the rest of the room was nice and clean. And the pool area was so well kept and beautiful we will definitely be back !!

STAY AWAY! Overpriced and outdated! Hallway carpet is disgusting! Rooms are standard rooms. Door handle on bathroom door was broken with screw hanging out. Smashed hand while closing first time. Bathroom hot and cold handles were switched. Notified front desk staff who seemed unconcerned. Items were never fixed during our stay. Food was TERRIBLE Angler and Ale. Toughest steak I’ve EVER been served! I always say that my bags are always packed and ready to go on a trip and that I’ll go just about anywhere once. Well, this is a one and done for us! NEVER AGAIN! Not worth the money! Some staff members not friendly at all - including some working front desk. A smile goes a long way!

We had a great experience for a weekend getaway! The staff and everyone who work here are kind friendly and helpful. This resort is family friendly!! Activities for the kids and lots of entertainment for them. The resort can definitely use some updating especially the bathrooms.. TUBS are a thing of the past and not sanitary. Even with being short staffed they were able to accommodate and keep up with the needs of the Guests. Just have patience because it may take a little longer than expected. If you are a hotel snob and traveling without kids then this is not the place for you. Don’t waste your time complaining to only write a poor review bc it’s not up to your standards. Overall it is a great resort with plenty to do while enjoying in the Florida Keys!
