Hawk and Mesa Desert Retreat - Featured Reviews (7)
Easily the nicest place to stay or have a retreat in the Pioneertown/ Yucca Valley area. The grounds are secluded, sight lines are amazing, and the architecture was epic. The kitchen has all the utensils you need to cook which is rare, and all the amenities to stay for more than a couple of days. We will be back for a solo trip and also with friends. Thanks for setting up such a great place.
Five stars does not do this property justice, it’s double that! The location is secluded and epic—like having your own Joshua Tree National Park right out your sliding glass doors. The home is like a Four Seasons resort in its design and decor. The amenities are everything you could ask for and the practical outfitting of the home is top notch. There’s a fully stocked chef’s kitchen, bathrooms with plush towels and all the emollients, drawers loaded with hiking gear, a bluetooth stereo speaker (we’d forgotten ours), a hammock, BBQ, Hot tub and Cool tub…come on! We spent 4 days and 3 nights and could not imagine a better get-away-from-it-all destination. Highly, highly recommend!
Can't say enough about this Yucca Valley retreat: a home away from home with every amenity and detail thoughtfully curated. From morning hikes amidst Joshua trees and blooming cacti, to dinner by the fire pit, to nighttime stargazing on the hammock...an unforgettable visit!
The house was very modern, very secluded. The view was beautiful and amazing at night. The appliances were very clean they literally had everything. It was a great trip.

We went to the final concert of the year and absolutely loved it. My only complaint is I didnât know about it sooner. Looking forward to going back in 2021.
I stopped here today (5/13/23) to let my Bichon poodle stretch her legs and go potty. It was beautiful. A nice breeze was blowing, snowy peaks in the distance, grass was green, the small trees provided shade, it felt safe, there was water, what mor
Second time in the area. Just beautiful. Many trail options from the campground or the parking area. Plenty of maps posted. It's free as well if you are on a budget and still want the Joshua tree hiking experience. Google maps works while you are on
I had my meal delivered and ordered the grilled chicken kabobs. I have no complaints about the food. I've never tried anything like this, so I have nothing to compare it to. But it's definitely good. That cucumber salad they serve with the kabobs is
