The staff was great. We came in around 6pm. There was only 1other customer seated. We ordered our food and it arrived in a acceptable amount of time. The food looked OK. My teriyaki beef tasted like the meat had spoiled. Teriyaki chicken was OK. The rice was OK and the macaroni salad was not good. Overall the experience was not good. I can overlook the sad dining area but the beef not being good is a problem. I wouldn't recommend this place in its current condition.

I love this place. Super low-key chill Hawaiian vibes given off from the time you walk in. This restraunt should be considered a classic. The food and prices have hardly changed in the last close to 20 years. I love this restraunt.

The food is absolutely delicious I always get the chicken teriyaki and rice. The only thing I don't like is the macaroni they serve with it it's very bland. Very very friendly I would definitely recommend this place.

Not grinds!!!! Food was okay but not up to local standards. Teriyaki chicken was dry and flavorless, the kalua pork was just canned pork with shredded cabbage, not seasoned and not made traditional, the rice was probably the cheapest rice available, and it wasn’t two scoops like advertised, it’s supposed to be Calrose, two scoops not the entire plate underneath the food, flavorless. The macaroni salad was okay but not traditional. The teriyaki sauce is obviously watered down, like water! The spam in the musubi wasn’t fried and their not using actual spam. So they need to either change their name or go learn the right way to cook Hawaiian food!!!!! I miss Zippies and L&L drive in. For the price of what paid they need to do better! And because i look Hailey when am mixed from Hawaii and he accused me of not knowing what I’m talking about . Seriously racist

I was actually speechless when I opened the food when I got home. I don’t know if you can tell how small of meat portions are here but the Kalua pig is maybe a 1/4 cup of food. The chicken must have been what was left on the cutting board. The rest is just rice. The Mac salad was probably a couple table spoons worth. And to top it all off the food was actually gross. The Kalua pig was watery, flavorless, and almost inedible. The chicken had a decent flavor but was dry and was just small bits and pieces. The Mac salad was bland and watery with a lot of pepper. I honestly don’t know how this place is still in business and some of these reviews show the lack of culture that some of these folks have been exposed to in their lives. 808 was the place that I usually go to but was walking by here and decided to try it. Will never go here again and I suggest you do the same.

To be honest there are so many better options than this place. The triyaki sauce is horrible, macaroni is awful. I never leave a reivew but try not to order from here.

I love spicy foods and they can make their dishes spicy! Can also get double meat for extra $ or a Mini for $5. Always delicious. Posted the picture of the Mini that I'm trying for the first time.

My husband and I came in for lunch today and both got the Huli Huli chicken. SOOOOO good. We love the marinade on the chicken. I used to come here years ago, and they still have the same great quality food, good sized portions and nice family atmosphere.
