In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations. The new needs friends. Last night, I experienced something new, an extra-ordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions about fine cooking is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Hawaiian Bros famous motto: 'Anyone can cook.' But I realize, only now do I truly understand what he meant. Not everyone can become a great artist, but a great artist can come from anywhere. It is difficult to imagine more humble origins than those of the genius now cooking at Hawaiian bros, who is, in this critic's opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in France. I will be returning to Hawaiian bros soon, hungry for more. Carson was great.

We love coming here multiple times a month. It's easy, consistent, and so stinking yummy! The chicken/pork is always delicious and never flops. A special shoutout and Mahalo to José and Bennett for being so awesome during the whole visit...they are what makes this place even more special 🤙🏼 (also, the floors are sick)

First time trying Hawaiian bro’s & let’s me tell you it was FANTASTIC . Chicken had such a great sauce , rice was everything . macaroni might need a little change . & can’t forget the soft serve was THE BEST ice cream I have had since I moved to Texas ! Daniel was amazing ! Explained every plate & dietary very nicely Best customer service I’ve had ! 100/10 ! Thank you so much Daniel for your amazing hospitality.

First time at this place and we ordered take out. We got home and neither of our plates or salad had any protein. Glad I paid $28 for rice and lettuce. We won’t be coming back.

The food was delicious. The staff was very helpful and patient as my family took their time determining what we all wanted to try, as everything looks amazing and it met and exceeded expectations. Fast food with Quality taste and great atmospheric vibes.
