Harvey House Inn - Inn in Oak Park - 107 S Scoville Ave, USA

Beth is kind and friendly, but also gives you your privacy. The house is so incredibly charming, and each little detail is anticipated. We stayed in the Jimmy Stewart suite, and from the towel warmers to the lovely bed linens, every inch of the room was relaxing and comfortable. We will definitely be staying here anytime we come to Chicago or Oak Park.

Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. Very close to the train, so quick rides to downtown Chicago. |Our room was large with lots of windows, and very cozy. Lots of nice little touches. Bed was very comfortable. |Lots of yummy choices for breakfast - and beautifully displayed. |And the hospitality was outstanding. |Will definitely stay here again.

Harvey House is a delightful alternative to a traditional hotel. The environment is beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the service impeccable. Beth, the proprietor, is an absolute delight! I very much enjoyed the last four days staying at Harvey House - and it will be my top choice when I return to Chicago.

This place is an amazing hidden gem. From first walking in, the quaintness and quietness of it was beautiful. Stunning decor, and immaculate. Beth was so helpful from just the booking through our trip. I spoke to her a few times and got recommendations on where to eat in Oak Park. Her recommendation was stellar. The room was beautifully appointed, and the linens and bedding were so comfortable. Not sure when we will be back in Chicago, but we will make sure to stay here. Thank you again for such warm hospitality and for making our beautiful weekend , so wonderful.

Always clean, wonderful room and common space/. Very well decorated. Owner is very helpful and a wonderful host. We were greeted at the door, offered some chocolate bars, informed of the hours for breakfast and given an excellent choice of breads from local bakery at breakfast.

She told me she “recorded” a private conversation with my wife in our room. In fact, there was a security camera in the room!!! I don’t know if I should notify there police or just write it off as a bad, nutty experience. She has a vague unclear rule about required masking but serves a very meager open buffet breakfast with not much on it. The toilet in the room was actually IN the room not a separate bath and was stopped up. Sad experience.

What a wonderful stay at The Harvey House, in the beautiful Oak Park neighborhood. Beth's hospitality and insightful conversation about restaurants, shopping and general information on Oak Park and Chicago was very helpful. We would definitely stay again and recommend Harvey House.

Harvey House was an excellent base for visiting the Frank Lloyd Wright home and studio, Unity Temple and other privately owned FLW designed homes in the area. Very close to the El and an easy ride into Chicago and Oak Park itself has a great selection of restaurants and cafes. Harvey House had everything we needed and Beth was a delightful host.
