Great spot for sushi in Seaside. Its had different owners over the years. Happy to say that they went under new ownership and it’s back to its glory days. Favorite rolls are the Grinch Roll, Hot Cheeto Roll (ask for spicy mayo on top or on the side) and captain crunch roll. They have good miso soup, great tempura udon and nice sized bento boxes. They also have great packaging for to go orders. Normally pick up is 20-30mn for my order over the phone. I usually spend $80-$120 for my orders. So a bit $$$ but honestly worth it.
One of our regular places to go for sushi. Dinner or lunch, you can't go wrong. Prompt service no matter how busy they are. Never waited more than 15 minutes from ordering to getting our food. Plenty of beverage options and the dessert menu is decent too. Usually way too full to have room for it though. Portions are generous. Slowly working our way through the staples. Haven't had a bad experience yet. The servers are always pleasant and accommodating. Another thing I like about Harumi's is that splitting a check between multiple parties at one table is never an issue unlike other restaurants around here.
Visiting from new york and had a hard time finding a good restaurant until I came across this sushi restaurant. Best food I’ve ever had and good customer service as well. It never takes long for my food to come out.
We went there for dinner, passing thru the city on road trip and husband was craving for hot soupy noodle. The udon he ordered hit the spot. Sashimi was fresh and lots of rolls to choose from.
On a visit to Monterey we came across Harumi Japanese restaurant, we started with the tempura appetizer it was ok nothing special about it, and we ordered the deluxe sashimi and it was excellent. We had 3 rolls white dragon, kamikaze, and the Megan rolls. Nothing so special about them. The rice was falling apart, flavor was blunt. Wasn’t too impressed. In general I’ll give it 3 stars.
YUMMMMMM Our server was Ryan and he was very friendly and did a great job! Sooo many options for rolls and combo meals Good sushi that’s for sure. And of course the traditional thank you’s from the chefs as we walked out!
Service has taken a nosedive this past year. Last time we arrived at 7:30pm and were seated. They asked us our orders 10 min later. By 8:00pm they finally brought us our drinks and appetizers but they also brought the bill. We were surprised since they didn't brought our food yet. 15 min later they finally brought our food, and rigth after the elder Asian waitress keep walking by every 5 min just staring at us. At a point she started picking up our plates but we were not done yet! We HATE to be rushed in this rude manner. She even touched the food with her finger because she assumed we were done. We said were were not ready. By 8:30pm another lady came and asked us for the bill to what we said we were not done yet. We asked for desert (tempura ice cream) but the thing was already frozen up and no freshly made as it has always been. The food quality has been decaying so fast as well. Before, the rolls had substantial ingredients but now mostly consists of rice. The chicken teriyaki was COLD. By 8:45pm they had us just tired and very uncomfortable of the many times they keep pressuring us. We decided not to tip due to horrible service and yet the lady demanded tip. We stayed firm and said no. Hopefully, this sends a message that service needs to improve. This is sad since we have been regulars.
We ordered sushi online for take away. It was rather disappointing overall. The flavors were just lacking. When I went to pickup, it was ready a little early and the staff was kind. The restaurant appeared clean. Unfortunately, I don’t think we would be back.
This was one of our favorite stops on our trip to CA! We ended up going back a second time in the 2 days we were in Seaside. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful. The owner and staff were so kind and friendly. We got the

A too rare case of what a true, nearly extinct classic neighborhood dive bar should be. Ages 21 to 70+ in equal numbers. Full crowd most evenings but I most always found a barstool. Tonight a live duo backing up piped in karaoke. Dogs allowed. The la
I was late getting into town after driving from San Francisco. I need a quick bite so I picked the In-N-Out Burger because not much else was open at 9:30 in the evening in Monterey. I went to the drive through to get takeout. The line was OK. It was
My friend and I stopped in on our bike ride to have a little drink. The Golden Latte (work oat milk) was really good and had just the right amount of turmeric for a really wonderful flavor without being overly powerful. The two baristas were friendly
Food is delicious and refreshing. You know when you go out to eat, and leave with a huge stomachache because you overate? We ate a ton here, but the food was so fresh and natural, that there was no upset stomachs after. The boba was delicious as well
Service is amazing in this little joint. You know a restaurant is great when it's full and this place was no exception. Had the Cubano torta which is loaded with all the meats they serve I believe and it was super good and filling. The wife had the j
While the bakery is truly great, don't discount their fantastic grill! Perfect lengua tacos, and top-notch mole tamales. Their seating section has a salsa bar, and the chilled desserts are unbelievable. Special call out for the arroz con leche & flan
