Haru Sushi Izakaya - Japanese restaurant in Fort Wayne - 4036 Coldwater Rd, USA

The awards for the head chef and the restaurant are correct and well deserved. My son and I had a celebratory dinner this Saturday and the Food selections, Food quality and staff service were all excellent. The restaurant had a short wait to be seated but that is because people are starting to know about this gem. Once seated the staff was all rotating and checking in on us and making sure we were taken care of. The food came out quickly, but the presentation was not sacrificed. The ingredients were fresh and very tasty. We did not feel rushed, and appreciated the genuine way the chef made his way out to the table to check on the food and experience. I highly recommend it and we have found our new go-to Sushi restaurant here in Fort Wayne.

First time here and will definitely go back! Wonderful sushi and nice modern interior. Very attentive staff. Only negative comment is they all yell something (not sure what they’re yelling) when new people come in the door. It ruins a nice quiet dinner atmosphere. Family friendly. Excellent food. Great service.

Elegant presentation. Great Customer Service, Sushi rolls were very good. Squid legs were good needed cooked a bit longer. However would recommend!

This was our first time in and we were impressed. We ordered a wide range of items including Chasu bowl, salmon skin roll, Philly roll with normal salmon instead of smoked, a Cali roll, and for a desert item we got the scallop dynamite. The salmon skin was fresh and had good crisp to it. I would love to see a little more fat left on there but it's so hard to find it fresh thats honestly a nit pick. Cali was what we expected and the salmon was a nice. The pork was perfectly fatty and flavorful. Service was quick and friendly! They were even able to swap my choice of salmon for no additional charges.

First-timers but will definitely be back. Very good quality sushi with a few unique items on the menu. The staff was lovely. They all stop and say a quick greeting whenever someone is getting seated. Loved it!

Food, atmosphere, and service was all top notch! The place felt very authentically Japanese in every way. And the chef was even kind enough to write down a list of all the food I could have there with my soy allergy in mind!! Will definitely be returning there soon.

Finally a place in FW wilth really really good ramen, classic tonkotsu one of the best I've ever had, also the takoyaki is on point, got the chicken teriyaki bento box as well with lots of sides. Everything was delicious and the service was exceptional, the staff is very courteous and attentive- backstory- I had spilled my ramen all over myself being clumsy and the staff hurriedly helped me clean up and offered a fresh bowl of ramen without charge, they even watched my toddler and served her food as I cleaned myself in the restroom.

This place was very good. Definitely could compete with similar type restaurants in California. Bento box gives you a little bit of everything. Seared garlic tuna was really good. Scream roll was pretty tasty. Ramen soup had a good kick to it and the pork belly inside was some of the most tender I've ever had. I will definitely come back. Staff was extremely good.
