I highly recommend this place if you want to take a walk, run and enjoy the nature with your friends, beloved people and even yourself! I usually get there and run over there! You will never feel stressed about anything like a car and traffic signal whenever you run around there. Free parking! but you should know it is open at sunrise and is closed at sunset. Enjoy! 😁
Beautiful place to walk, which I’m surprised I have NEVER been. So peaceful, and a busy place for walkers, runners, bikers, and of course dogs. My dog loved it. Great place to visit, with lots of parking, but comes later in the day to avoid crowds.
This is a really nice place to go walk, job or bike. The trails are well maintained and the park is very clean.
great for a walk!
A good place for a afternoon walk.
A serene, safe and quiet park that straddles the West Hartford/Farmington town lines run by the Metropolitan District(MDC), the area water authority. This paved, forested and tranquil park is dotted with bonds, brooks and relaxing bodies of water babbling all around. The well marked red trail is a loop of 3.6 miles that takes about an hour and twenty minutes to complete and the yellow trail takes a little less to finish. There's a marked bike lane too. Both trails take you from the parking area, run slightly different circular routes and bring you back to the same lot. You may encounter deer unfazed by human activity, hawks flying overhead, racer snakes basking in the sun and copperheads as well. There's a resident bear i came across once. Luckily she was asleep. Another day I was told that this bear was just 200 ft up the road from me, but i didn't see her, lucky for me. My walks in this reservoir are therapeutic, as I let my walks be my medicine, and no less meditative.
Great place for a walk, or a dog walk and bike riding! Love this place and highly recommend.
Great trails. Over 5 miles of trails. Alot of very nice paved bike Lanes. It is busier than alot of trail systems so maybe not the best for solitude but beautiful and we'll maintained.
Dr Black is smart, thorough, and kind. An incredibly patient listener and determined problem-solver, her bedside manner is excellent. Highly recommend.
