The rooms were very clean and very nice. The service is also very good but I really think they need to improve their English and the location. I really don’t think it’s their fault because before I was here and there was no people on the streets in front. I also saw them tell them to go away but they did not. Overall I think this is a nice hotel just needs a little more help and yes please do try to come to Harris Motel. I also saw some other reviews and some of them were not true please do not believe everything they say about Harris Motel. One of the reasons I saw was that the dogs were not allowed and it was strictly forbidden, but I think they’re reason is, because some dogs create a lot of chaos, and that some people create huge mess with the dogs and they don’t want to clean that up because overall it is their mess. The last thing I will say is that service dogs are allowed. That’s all, and I don’t mean to disappoint you if this doesn’t happen but this is my opinion and if you don’t it is really okay! So I really think you guys should go to Harris Motel. Fun fact - ( before it used to be 7.4 stars!) until the people in front came so yea!
Made a reservation, call to clet them know I would be arriving late, Robin, picked up the phone and I said hi, he said it back, he asked how was I, I answered back with the same question, he then said "Oh I don't like you, I don't want to talk to you" and hung up. Although my reservation is not refundable, I chose to stay somewhere else,
It was clean except there was a puddle of what I assume to be water what I hoped anyways from condensation im guessing . Idk it was kinda big. Right in front of the door to the room and the parking was super super weird these little parking stalls but once in them you can barely open your door to get out. Besides that for the price it was supposed to be $65 or something but turned out to be 80 no security deposit with the option of having a smoking or non smoking room. I didn't have to go through extra stuff covering up my 420 smells. I could puff freely with the 300 dollar cleaning fee hanging over my head cuz the room was about to be smoked in regardless so that was also a Plus
The rooms are pretty standard and cozy, but the bathrooms have been beautifully updated. Rooms may be a little small, but are always kept super clean. The beds are very comfortable, and the headboards are lined with mirrors for romantic fun. The rooms and bathroom amenities are very welcoming to weary travelers after a long day of driving.||||Keep in mind that these are smoking rooms. Very convenient for some, but just be aware if you do not like the smell or are travelling with children.||||The inside is definitely a wonderful contrast to the outdated exterior. Oakland is a pretty bad neighborhood in general from what I've seen, but this is more of a hidden gem in the rough. One night were were the last guests to arrive for the night and they asked if we would be going out again, as they lock the parking lot once all guests are in for the night. This made us feel very safe, not many places around here had free parking on the premises, so to add the extra safety of the locked gate was awesome.||||The staff is very friendly, and also very accommodating to our requests for extra towels and also when we needed a late check out during one stay. We feel very welcome here and have returned a few times whenever we drive through this area, we always recommend this place to friends who may be going up or down the coast.
The room surprised me as it was above average. I ran through my ex-gf a few times using both of the large, comfortable beds and the huge walk in shower. The neighborhood is 5* ghetto fabulous. There was a sideshow brewing down at the 'Sports Page.' Harleys and muscle cars and, 'Baydestrians' gas, brake and dipped out the lot, Which was where i observed a few locals, engaged in ritualistic, 'parking lot pimpin'. Across the street several dedicated year round campers live their best life in unique Recreation Vehicles. I spotted several chicken heads & cluckers, thus indicating the presence of street pharmaceuticals close by.
The room was clean. Parking was cramped. Price was great (cheapest in Oakland that we could find). No deposit. Unfortunately, a shooting occurred a half a block away. The manager did let us stay an hour later than check out & it only cost $20 extra. I would stay there again. Next time there even might not be a shooting near by!
Not my first choice but it was a reasonable value. Small amenities were provided along with a television. Couldn’t change the channel because remote wasn’t working but didn’t mind watching the documentary on Fuse. Staff was friendly and had no problem checking in and out!
The owner is a slum lord . The place is a dump. Dirty and bug infested. Better to sleep in a trash can than this place
Cozy, unpretentious yoga studio for people of all ages and abilities. I've only gone to this location one time so far but the instructor was great. Lots of natural light and a nice waiting area with clean restrooms and water available. Highly recomme
Love to support small business inspired by family and culture and led by strong women! Highly recommend the latiya latte and champorado mocha (as well as their chicken empanada) ð we had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with co-owner Ari and l
