The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. There is parking in the rear if you are arriving by car.
This is an excellent destination to learn about important history. It is amazing to stand in the home of such a great and strong woman. In today's society we need more positive role models that our young can learn from. Harriet Tubman is a leader who lives on through the brave and heroic actions she has performed in her time. Her determination, thoughtfulness, bravery, and faith in her religion are strengths we should all aspire to.
A small memorial to Araminta Ross aka Harriet Tubman. The museum tells the story of Cape May's importance in the abolitionist movement and of the many contributions of Harriet Tubman herself. Almost directly across the street is the 1846 built house of another abolitionist Rev. Stephen Smith which needs restoration money.
Our tour guide was awesome. She engaged us to do little skits which was so entertaining and informative at the same time. Her personality is beautiful. She’s a real asset to the museum. Loved it
Nice small museum and the tour guide was super knowledgeable, personable, and nice. There are times you can go on tour for $10 and then I think one time a day you can walk through. If you get a tour it is lecture based so I would recommend saving some time at the end to look around.
We visited on a Thursday around 12:30. They only allow 25 people to enter for each tour and each tour begins at the top of the hour. 12 noon is the only guided tour, all others are self-guided. I recommend purchasing tickets online ahead of time, just to assure that you have a spot! The museum is small - only 3 rooms - and there are some artifacts and a lot of reading. Very interesting facts are shared and there’s even a short film they show.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and very pleasant. She made our time at the museum a wonderful one. I would recommend a visit to this museum when you travel to see Cape May.
There isnt much to physically see. However, what made the tour for me was the tour guide. He knew stories and had such passion in everything he said. He explained so much history but with a modern twist to help people truly comprehend life during Hariet Tubmans time. I am very happy we were able to take away so much.
WoW! What a great experience. It is like putting together piece of history, through a wonderful Story guide! I would highly recommend this for school age children and adults of any education level. This is a must see, if you want to walk thru piece of history and learn some interesting facts of Cape May, N. J. . Well worth the wait 😉

Great outdoor shopping mall. Too bad no one reads the signs stating dogs are not allowed. So just watch out for calling cards from them. Otherwise it is a fun place to walk around and shop, get food or dessert. Did I mention dessert?

Beautiful lighthouse by the beach. Plenty more of free parking. We arrived after it closed so could not go to the top. The nearby beach is a good place to hang out. Take your time and enjoy the area.

Had the smash burger... two patties, high fat content, which, let's face it, makes them taste great. House made pickles were so good. Great burger.
