Harper's Restaurant - American restaurant in Greensboro - 601 Friendly Center Rd, USA

I've been by Harper's plenty of times and have never gone in. It happened to be the location for this year's family Christmas dinner so I finally tried it. Our waitress Raven was super nice and patient (we had a large party). She kept the refills coming and made sure we had what we needed. Items tried: Cajun Calamari - very good! Super crispy and very well seasoned! House Salad - good ranch is important. They have it. It's more like a garlicky ranch though Crab Cake Sandwich - the crab Cake was a little small but overall it was good. The fries were nice and crispy Six Cheese Baked Penne - I don't like Italian sausage so I didn't try it but my parents said it was good! Also had a bite of my mom's apple pie, very good!...minus the nuts. Personally not a fan lol. Heads up for large parties, they only split checks up to 4 ways (we didn't know that ahead of time) and there's a 20% gratuity.

I had an overall great experience at Harper’s. I patronized this restaurant around 6:45pm and sat in the bar area. The waitress was friendly, professional, and seasoned on the items offered on the menu to include the specials. The food was brought out hot/fresh by friendly staff in a timely matter. The waitress was attentive frequently checking on my status and refilling my water glass without me having to request it. The waitress removed the finished dishes quickly from the table once they were presented as such and brought the check. I ordered the American Burger (cheddar cheese) minus lettuce with fries for around $16.

We went on a Saturday evening, was told it was 30 minutes wait for a table but we only waited 15. Services was great! Table areas were kind of dark even with lighting. Food was great! Booth also has a place on the side to hang jackets which I’ve never seen before!

I have not been to Harper's in quite a while, but I'm glad I decided to drop in today. The atmosphere hadn't changed and it reminded me of the older style restaurants/bars. The service was excellent, I got seated and waited on right away. My waitress was excellent and very knowledgeable of the menu. She highly recommend the crab dip but I might have to go back for that. I had the salmon wrap with sweet potatoe fries and really enjoyed it. Easily could tell it was made fresh with the warm pieces of salmon in it. I'm glad I ordered it in place of a burger.

It was very good. Their collard greens were a little tough and not as tasty as others that I have had.

We had a very sweet waitress (I have forgotten her name but she was very understanding about us, not having seen each other for quite a while and just wanting to talk for a long time. She did not rush us at all.) I ordered the chicken supreme which was super crunchy and delicious. I loved the dipping sauces. I got key lime pie to go for my husband and he just raved about how delicious it was. It was a great atmosphere to catch up with old friends and enjoy a lovely meal.

The service was really good and the waitress was excellent and friendly. Very helpful with helping me and my wife decide what to eat. The steak was cooked perfectly and my wife loved the burger she had. Warm cozy environment. Definitely will be dining there again.

Great food, great atmosphere, and great customer service can't beat the 3 😁
