After reading these recent reviews, it seems to be a trend with this place. I'll let the pics speak for itself. If I could give a 0 star I would. Disappointed is an understatement. I try to support my black owned businesses, but this is what you get in return. Burnt fish, I ordered catfish, it didn't look or taste like catfish for 13.99. The guy working in the kitchen went to the bar next door and brought his drink back lol! I been there more than a few times but this time is by far the worst. I have NO reason to ever go back
Finally!! a restaurant that knows how to fry chicken and fish not refried chicken and fish. I stumbled up on this place and just tried it out and the food was amazing so I figured this is a fluke. I caught them on a good day. Try it again last night, and the food was even better. I normally don’t eat fries only like three or four both times I went. I ate everything on the plate except for the coleslaw. But who cares the chicken was perfect fried well done just like I asked. And they have red Kool-Aid to top it all off. Wonderful I will be back again and again.
Me and my sister stopped at this location excited for the food. Atmosphere was nice but had a bad smell inside like something spoiled we both ordered the jumbo shrimp combo. The shrimp was a nice size the problem was, the breading was coming off the shrimp, fries was not done they tasted like they were baked in the oven, the menu said coleslaw with combo wasn’t there and to have a slice of bread was not worth at all $18. Highly disappointed with my food.
Ok! Yall did that. As a Chicagoan I was expecting subpar tasting food because every restaurant in STL that tries to do Chicago style food fail miserably. The food was exactly like it would be had I been in the Chi eating at a restaurant with a similar name 😂 And you know I had to get it drizzled with Mild Sauce! Good job! You’ve earned a repeat customer. For those who don’t know, the food is prepared when you order. This insures you get fresh food every time you go there. No heat lamps here. You won’t be disappointed.
Amazing chicken! So hot, fresh, and juicy! Best chicken I’ve ever had! Great location. Even has some table games for families visiting from the City Museum to play while you wait for your freshly prepared food.
Sadly my usual spot to order fish was having phone issues so I could get through to them. So, I called Harold’s and ordered 12 pieces of catfish. This would cost me about 35 bucks at my usual spot across the street and it would come with fries, bread, pickles, and onions. I ordered this fish over the phone and wasn’t given a price. I was in a hurry for a Thanksgiving event. After I picked up this small pan of catfish that’s technically catfish filets cut in half… so I was given 12 halfs and a bag of sauces… I checked my bank account and it was $78.78… never again! The fish itself wasn’t even good! It taste like I went to long john silvers! I was extremely disappointed and felt like I got ripped off! I was so annoyed I forgot to snap a pic!
I was visiting from out of town. We found this gem in St Louis. The cashier was friendly & knowledgeable! The cook even spoke! The food is cooked to order, so there was a 20-25 min wait. The chicken came out HOTT, FRESSH & CRISPYY! This particular restaurant serves the mild sauce on the side, which was fine for me! They weren't serving liquor yet, so we settled for a large cold cup of Koolaid! Check this place out! Don't miss the best chicken in ST. LOUIS!!
Only ordered 3 polishes meals and 1 pizza puff meal. The amount of fries were for a kids and I didn't order not 1 kids meal. I had to purchase a lrg order of fries . The taste of the polish were not for me but I will be back to try something else. We came across the business looking for something else but glad we now know you are here. We will be backto try something different

This is my second time eating at this restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely. The customer service was great. The food is beyond scrumptious. I met the owner this evening and she was so pleasant. I asked her about my food allergy which is shrimp, and
I have heard nothing but great things about this place! Finally got a chance to try it. The burger and strawberry shake were delightful. Fries were somewhat lukewarm and a bit over salted. But overall, great service! Will revisit in the future.

My husband and I both had the chefâs prefixe for his birthday dinner this evening; he enjoyed the wine pairings. We thought the three plates were very good, red snapper being most exceptional. Our server was such a sweet girl, and all staff were so
My wife and I went here on a weekday at noon, and it got very busy very quickly. We sat at the bar rather than wait for a table, which was fine with us. The staff was friendly and made us feel at home. The place has its own decor of things the o

I have been coming to Crusoe's for year's with the family and have never done a review. Everything from the Service, to the food was amazing. But the best part was by far the dessert! I have never had a cheesecake like the one from Crusoe's.
