Harbor Town Inn - Hotel in Manitowoc - 4004 Calumet Ave, USA

Room was a little small but for the price it was great. Super clean hotel. Staff I have talked to so far have been cool.

Our room was musty, floors were sticky, old yellowed stained ventilation, moldy bathroom shower head. Reeks of cigarettes, which clung onto our luggage, clothing, etc, even with just a 1 night stay. Difficult to inhale/breath because of the cigarette stench. We were told this place is a non-smoking inn, but seriously if ventilation was never changed when this place was bought out and so called upgraded, it would of course still smell like the motel it was previously. Also, the TV remote batteries were dead...went to the front desk to ask for batteries and was told they ran out. We couldn't watch TV... had 2 kids with us & and couldn't even watch TV. Will never stay here again. Disgusting all around despite new paint decor in the lobby...don't be fooled.

Clean, welcoming, easy to get around for a person using a cane. |Lovely eating/visiting area off the lobby. ||Ordering breakfast ahead the night before to be ready at a particular time was great for me. ||Looks like 2 outdoor Patios ..one with a grill & firepit …very inviting. ||Easy access from the expressway & at a good price point.

All round, we had a great experience here and I was very surprised at the staff at the front desk. They were so positive and bright. Even when I called to ask questions before booking, they were so nice and answered all my questions. The rooms were clean and the beds were so comfortable. I thought their process on how breakfast was served was great and very different. Overall, AMAZING and I love that they're pet friendly!

Stayed here a couple times for work. First time the tub wouldn’t drain, so took a bath while taking a shower. Also had a dog barking all night long across the hall and a couple screaming at each other in the parking lot for over an hour straight until around midnight that the staff didn’t seem to care to do anything about. Second time the bed had holes and blood stains on blanket. Definitely not acceptable.

The place looked nice from the outside. The lobby was great and staff was nice and friendly. The room was 2-star quality and the TV didn't work. They moved me to 2 additional rooms (in the same wing) that had similar problems. 3 strikes and I'm out. I changed hotels.

I'd say service is a bit odd, their breakfast system is wierd... hard to really explain the nuance. But you have to turn in a slip by the end depicting if you basically want breakfast. Adds a layer of absolute inconvenience.

Not recommended. Room wasn't vacuumed from previous occupant. Cleaning staff left large humdifier left in middle of room when I checked in. Night staff yelling/conversing down the halls at each other at 3 am while guests are trying to sleep. Guests in room next door also had a dog that was barking at the noise. I checked out at that point. I will not be back.
