With each stay at Harbor Hill Inn we discover something new to love! The main house has three guest rooms and each is unique. On our last visit we stayed in the carriage house which is perfect for couples or families with two bedrooms, living/dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen! All the rooms are nicely decorated, with high quality linens! The host Rob and Jan are gracious and love to give guests tips on things to do and see in Pepin! The location couldn't be more perfect, just steps from the center of town. We can't wait for our next visit to beautiful Lake Pepin and another exceptional stay at Harbor Hill Inn!!!
Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming with info of the area and dining recommendations. Our room was comfortable and had a lovely view of the lake. We also had access to the balcony on the front of the house. What a great spot to relax and watch the light fade on the lake as the sun set. We enjoy the uniqueness of older homes and appreciate the woodwork and glass work. We enjoyed the town of Pepin. The Laura Ingalls Wilder site is what brought us to town, but the beautiful area is worth spending time exploring more.
Me and my SO stayed a couple nights in the Pepin room for a family wedding at the local winery. Not only was our stay comfy, clean, and quiet, but also very relaxing with the private balcony and sooo soft bed. If we ever find ourselves planning a getaway weekend in the area once more, I would definitely want to stay here again.
Very easy walk to local places to eat and the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum. Clean rooms. We stayed in the Pepin room and having the little private balcony with the view of Pepin lake was wonderful! Nice sun room for coffee, board games or reading. Very happy with our choice to stay here.
Great location. Historic, charming house. Room rates with tax seem to be somewhat overpriced for Friday/Saturday night stays in March. I could understand these rates in the peak summer months. Website needs to be more transparent about what is included in stay. No shampoo/conditioner provided in shower with stay. Body wash only. Owners recommended Dollar Store in town but that was closed for the evening. Another couple was leaving when we were checking in due to not having a lock on their bigger room with jacuzzi. Safety issues like no locks for certain rooms should be noted on website.
We rented the Carriage House at Harbor Hill Inn for the weekend of 6/12 for a combination of a team offsite work event and a gathering of friends. From the very beginning, we received prompt and courteous communication, and detailed information regarding our stay. Check-in was very easy and a welcome packet with detailed property and local community information was provided. The property was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Everything worked well, including our internet connectivity. Our entire stay was highly successful and very comfortable. I'd strongly recommend this property to individuals, groups and families. Outstanding.

What a pleasure it was to stay at this beautiful place. The setting is just lovely and everything was perfect. Our room was decorated with such care and impeccably clean. The bed was so comfy, we slept like babies.
Jan and Rob have thought of every last detail to create a wonderful experience for their guests.
They are such charming and gracious hosts. The gave several Recommendations that enhanced our experience. The Harbor View Cafe is a must. The sunset at Buena Vista park overlooking the Mississippi is fabulous and the nearby town of Stockholm is a treasure, jut to name a few.

My husband and I recently spent two nights in the Pepin Room at the Harbor Hill Inn. It was our second stay in this room because we love spending time on the balcony overlooking the lake. During this last stay, the owners Jan and Rob were engaged in maintaining their lovely property. Their apologies for any inconvenience were appreciated but unnecessary as their love and commitment to the Inn adds immeasurably to the overall enjoyment for their guests. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Jan and Rob and look forward to future visits to Pepin and the Harbor Hill Inn.

Stopped in on our way through town in October. We sat inside with a beautiful view of the lake and fall colors. Lunch was delicious. The bloody Mary's had great flavor and spice. The fried pickle spears definitely a winner. Service was midwest kind.
