We stopped in around 2:30 on a weekend. The place seemed a bit busy, but we were seated before too long. Our waitress was also the bartender, but thankfully, we seemed to be her only other table. We were seated with no menu, no drink menu, and had to wait for her to show up to ask. After we received the menus, we decided on an appetizer to share before we ordered our food, but again waited for her to return, so we changed our minds and simply ordered our meals. The food was great, my steak on my steak salad was cooked perfectly and was a good cut of meat. His Cajun pasta was also delicious.
Amazing visit. We’ve meant to try some of the new Harbor eateries for over a year and finally checked Halcyon off our list. Do not let the unassuming store front and laid back decor fool you. The restaurant is very attractive inside, using the existing old building to enhance the space. The menu ranges from family friendly—->bar fare—->surprisingly sophisticated entrees. Absolutely worth the trip east, Lake County and beyond folks! Our server, Adrianna, did a fantastic job taking care of us. The restaurant was busy, and the added fun of rain driving in the patio made for a hectic bit, but she was very attentive. We started with the Poutine, adding fresh jalapeño and chorizo. Absolutely amazing combo and our love of heat was not disappointed. Our entrees were the Pork Shank and the Chef Special, Braised Lamb Shank. Both came with a risotto; Parmesan and mushroom respectively. Both meats were perfectly prepared and delicious. The risottos were delightful and not heavy. The pork shank was paired with asparagus and it was great. Lamb shank definitely would have benefited from a vegetable, but the portion was large so it wasn’t missed. We took home dessert, didn’t want to miss a chance to try new things. We took home the chocolate lava cake and the Oreo pie. Both we wonderful, definitely good with a cup of coffee.
This was gourmet at its finest and reasonable prices. We had tomato bisque and my husband and I wanted to lick the bowl. We had a panini and truffle parm fries which were so delicious! The only thing missing was a frame front entrance to give the illusion of a speakeasy….which would have been cool.
Service was great. Food was delicious and everything came out well-seasoned. Steak was cooked just right (requested medium and was not overdone) and truffle fries were delicious as an appetizer (and came with enough aioli for dipping). Drinks came out quickly too. Highly recommend for locals as well as anyone visiting the area.
Atmosphere was really nice. The food was phenomenal. Definitely didn't wait. Long and everything came out delicious. The macaroni and cheese was very creamy and cheesy. The house dressing for the salad was delicious with the spring lettuce and my main course was Absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed it a lot. Very good meal. You must try 👍🏽🥰🙏🏽🙌🏽 everybody had smiles on their faces. Bonus
Strip steak with mash potatoes and little asparagus wasn't the greatest and broccoli cause they ran out of the asparagus. The steak had a sauce on it that was so yummy.. I didn't really need A1 sauce. Would differntly get it again.
Ate here on a recent business trip. We haven't really found many great places to eat a nice meal at, but this is one of them. I had the strip and it was tender and cooked to perfection. Prices are pretty good as well, as are the cocktails. Definitely recommend if you're in the area on a business trip and looking for a nice dinner. Mac and Cheese was good!
Service was awesome, and the vibe was great. The food, however, was very disappointing. I got the grilled Mahi Mahi, with garlic mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts...$26. The Mahi Mahi wasn't terribly bad, but the bottom had salt on it, and it overpowering the taste. The garlic mashed potatoes were instant at best... absolutely disappointing. Brussels spouts were may e okay. My GF got the Maryland Ctabcakes, and she said the flavor was good, but they were served barely warm. The peanut butter cheesecake was the only really goof thing we had. Unfortunately, I would not go back.
Amazing! Definitely stop by the museum, talk to Barrie, and see his mother's collection of covered bridge memorabilia. His grandfather set the stones for the bridge. His family has been in the area since 1820
I'll be honest, I was very surprised by how good the food was here. Ashtabula doesn't exactly come to mind when I think of fine dining, but Bascule Bridge pulled out all the stops. We loved the ambiance, our waiter was hilarious and attentive, and ev
Beautiful little lookout spot and covered bridge. Nice little spot to pull over and take in the view, read the information boards posted and learn a little bit of history. The colors in autumn ð are outstanding. When my family stopped it wasn't to
We are absolutely blessed to have such a gem in our community. I have been coming here since I could hardly put one foot in front of the other. (3 yrs old maybe?) It is something special for sure. The cookies are unbelievable with the light frosting
If you are ever in Ashtabula, OH you HAVE to come here!!! Locally owned and operated (I asked). I had a signature sandwich and it came out as big as my head!!!! It has amazing flavor and the staff are so friendly, helpful, and prompt!! We came from O
