Happy Teriyaki - Asian restaurant in Stanwood - 9730 WA-532, USA

This is by far the best place to get teriyaki and sushi. The Crunch Roll.... I don't even have words for it. Just amazing. Shawn and Daniel are great guys. I eat here all the time. Highly recommend!

Our first meal in the state. Teriyaki was really good. But man, the nigiri was nuts! The quality of the fish relative to the price is absurd. So much so, that this is the only restaurant we went to twice during our trip throughout Washington. Second time, ordered a whole meal of just nigiri. Restaurant was clean and food is fast. Would definitely return.

My family and I spent the afternoon into early evening hours in Camano Island State Park and it was so beautiful. As we drove out of Camano Island to Stanwood, we spotted Happy Teriyaki. Of course, we decided to stop in. My sister-in-law and I walked in and we were immediately greeted by two young men. I loved their enthusiasm! As we perused the menu board, we opted for a couple combo plates, which included two scoops of rice and a side salad. We ordered a Teriyaki Chicken + Katsu Chicken combo plate, a Teriyaki Chicken + Beef Kalbi (Short Ribs) combo plate, and two sides of Shrimp Tempura. It took some time to prepare the plates so we waited in our vehicle until they brought out the food. The side salad was crunchy and cold - just how I like my salad. And the Teriyaki Chicken was delicious - not too heavily glazed, not overly sweet, and not too salty either. It was the right consistency for teriyaki. I really enjoyed it with the short-grain steamed rice. I actually didn’t need the extra teriyaki sauce that it came with. I thought the beef kalbi was okay; it’s actually much thinner than I expected but still good nonetheless. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the Chicken Katsu. It was tough to bite into and too dry to swallow - I almost thought I was eating pork! It was bland too. Everything else was better. Overall, we enjoyed our meal from Happy Teriyaki and we were glad to have found this on the highway. Asian comfort food to make us feel “home” away from home.

I’ve been living in Asia for 9 years and THIS is the most perfect sushi I’ve ever had. They are SO generous with portions and the fish is so fresh that it melts in your mouth! Not to mention, the place was impeccably clean! And the service was fabulous. The staff were so genuinely friendly and welcome! I wish I could eat here every day.

Great Food, Katsu Chicken Was A Little Dark And Dry For My Liking, Great Sauce, Excellent Chicken Teriyaki, Thin, Soft, Tasty, Does Not Taste Like Chemicals (Tenderizer) Like Some Places. Few Parking Spots But Other Parking Close And Worth The Walk, Will Eat Here Again When I Am In The Area.

Very nice lunch and dinner place. Food is freshly made after ordering, large portions! Very lovely owners. Clean and always has great customer service!

Holy cow - for being a little hole in the wall, this place is incredible! I highly recommend the honey garlic chicken and the spider roll (pictured). Everything was piping hot, super fresh, and very tasty! We will definitely be back.

I like the tofu and veggies teriyaki dish. 5 stars for the flavor of the sauce and the veggies and tofu cooked just perfectly. Definitely try this teriyaki restaurant if you live in Stanwood or Camano Island. Very good for vegetarian meals.
