If you are dining alone, arent very hungry, like cold food if you're polite then this is your new go to place to eat. Let me explain This small place on a Saturday night had the owner/cook at the grill alone. One other table had food mostly. We were a group of four ordered several apps and dinner at the counter. The apps should have clued us in as they arrived one at a time. The combo dip plate was good. No complaints. The feta rolls were unevenly filled. 2 little bites with no discernable feta, the other end with. The lentil soup has caraway. I don't do caraway but everyone else liked it. The felafel were very good Then one main came out. That's how the rest of the meal would be. One plate at a time it's Why I began if you liked eating alone or waiting and letting your food get cold till all the plates arrived. Two of our plates were a grilled chicken kabob and a steak kabob. Question, if you run a restaurant, how can you not handle grilling these 2 things at once. Just 2. How would this place survive lunch cooking this way. Our dishes came out in the order that the order was placed. Big tip- order the hungriest or slowest eaters food first. The chicken thigh wasnt a large one and was dry. Sad for a thigh. The veg was good and the rice was rice. The super impractical thing was the service plate. The same wood platter with a grooved edge the food came on. Absolutely no way to eat without pushing half the rice off the plate. Who thought thia made sense. $16 The steak "kabob" was 2 pieces of overcooked meat, same eh rice and the tahini (made in house tasted spoiled). $17??? The lamb and beef kofte bowls were hard to distinguish. How can you serve 4 people completely separately as she did. So I stress if you aren't very hungry, have lots of time and dont mind cold food if you're not dining alone. Enjoy it. We wont be back

I've been eager to visit Happy Lavash, a cozy pan-Mediterranean cafe boasting undeniable Turkish influences, since its grand opening. Spearheaded by ex-realtor Aylin Tolu, it serves a delicately chosen menu of dishes from the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean in a laid-back, contemporary environment. With only a single Spanish-speaking assistant, Aylin takes the reins in the kitchen, offering homemade and fresh meals that certainly live up to the hype. My group enjoyed most of our choices, from the mezze sampler to the spicy and intricate red lentil soup. The fresh toasted lavash that accompanies each dish is perfect for wrapping sandwiches and dipping into appetizers like hummus and muhamarra. The falafel appetizer and feta rolls were notable standouts as well. For main courses, we opted for "bowls" - a non-traditional arrangement of grilled items atop seasoned rice or bulgur pilaf, complete with salad and hummus. My preference leaned towards the lamb kofte, while the beef kofte and grilled chicken thighs were also crowd-pleasers. However, the portions of protein could have been more generous. Our friends chose kebab platters that came on a rather impractical wooden ridged rectangular serving piece. This setup led to the pilaf spilling, slightly detracting from the overall experience. Both of them felt the meat was overcooked, however, the grilled vegetables were a nice touch. Despite its label as "fast casual," the service isn't quite fast, especially on busier days. It's clear Aylin prioritizes quality over speed. I would recommend for larger groups to order dishes to share to avoid long wait times between each dish's arrival. The Turkish coffee and baklava for dessert were highlights, but be warned, Aylin insists on a particular way of enjoying the coffee, post-meal. As charming as this dedication to authenticity was, it may not align with everyone's preferences. I can confirm, though, the baklava and sugar-dusted almond cookies are worth the visit alone. Happy Lavash is a great spot for a taste of the Mediterranean. Despite a few minor setbacks, the quality of the food and the charm of the owner makes it a worthwhile dining experience.

Food was small portioned and overpriced. The service was fake and horrendous. The lady here who was the cook and possibly the owner had a fake smile on while answering my questions with an attitude . I asked if she had any hot sauce? She answered yes over by the drink station . It wS generic sauce in a pack. .meanwhile there is a bottle of real sauce behind the counter. I asked again and she said no. I pointed at the bottle and she said no!. Ok. Lol! Then I asked if there was any sauce for the meat combo dish I ordered which was way overpriced! She once again says no with a smile. Lol not coming back. Food was average. She also plays dumb.

Home cooking with love. The food is excellent, fresh and the place is spotless. The owners are present and their passion shines through with all they do here. Some of the best baklava I’ve ever had, made fresh. This restaurant, and the people, are a true delight. The best thing in the world you can do for someone is feed them. The greatest compliment I can give you is to eat it all.

True small business, family owned restaurant. Owner is very sweet and helpful. Turkish inspired Mediterranean food. Falafel, kabob, pita, dips, wraps and more. It's a walk up an order style of service. No table service but that's not a deal breaker at all. Would love for this place to get more support for locals and even those passing by. The food is fresh and delicious you have to give it a try.

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would. It is perfection. From the food (delicious), to the decor (high end and sparkling clean), to the service (so welcoming), to the experience (transporting). You will feel like you've been invited to the owners home in Turkey for a sumptuous feast. Don't miss this local treasure if you're in the area. And consider catering your next event with this team! They are sure to please. We can't wait to return for another Mixed Grill, Baklava, and Turkish Coffee! Thank you, Happy Lavash! :)
