Winter wonderland just the two of us over Christmas in the lodge. We had a room with a king bed, full bath, views out two corner windows of the gorgeous meadows. The staff did a wonderful ham and prime rib Christmas Day dinner and followed that with impromptu fireworks outside in view of the dining windows with roaring fireplace. By the time we left (after just a couple of days) the staff seemed like family. Plates of complimentary goodies kept materializing…like cookies, fudge, cake pops, toffee crack bars, etc. Hot chocolate peppermint schnapps with a candy cane spoon in front of another cozy sitting room fireplace became a favorite. Yes, there was no TV in the main lodge or your room, but really if you want to watch many channels available big screen with pool table in the rec room cabin. We had good internet signal for phones and computer thru out the main lodge and extended into our room. There are resident Alaskan Malamutes playing in the snow and several Clydesdale horses in the barn. We arrived just following a major snow storm. Would have been impassable the day before until the road was plowed. Can be slick on the curves in the shade or black ice. Just take your time. It is a beautiful drive. If you are looking for glitz or glamour this is not the place. If you crave peace and calm and the sense of being transported back to much less complicated times…rustic, simple, and relaxing pace…this is it!
My wife and I arrived there after 10 pm in a Friday night, they were not expecting us because there was an issue with the reservations and the lodge, but Angel greeted us and actually offered to make us dinner even though the kitchen was long closed. As we were staying in the lodge she made sure the coffee was all set for us in the morning. I got up early and had my coffee and went downstairs, That's when I met Charlene and she offered me breakfast, I had to wake my wife and tell her breakfast would soon be served. Mind you my wife were the only ones there and she said she would make us anything on the menu. Breakfast was awsome and she said make sure we come back for lunch and dinner. Their hospitality was above and beyond our expectations. We spent all weekend there and every moment was wonderful, they were so accommodating and and nice, will definitely be going back very soon.
Wonderful little getaway. The lodge is very rustic and beautiful. We stayed in one of the smaller cabins and it was more than sufficient for our needs. They provide wood for the fire stove and it was very romantic. Lodge staff was excellent and we really enjoyed a dinner and breakfast by a fire in the lodge. Can’t send enough praise for this place.
Wonderful temperatures night and day. Fun seeing deer and wild turkeys from our porch. There were beautiful Clysdales on the property. Staff very friendly. Had a great steak dinner one night. Charlene, the hostess, manager, cleaner was wonderful. Relaxing stay in a beautiful area.
Did not stay in the rooms just came up for lunch. They were not open for lunch but the cook was nice enough to make us something because we had driven far to check it out. Nice and quiet and pretty all around. Also love their Alaskan Malamute on the premises.
Are you looking to rest and relax in a beautiful place, well this is it. Hubby and I went and not only was everything Beautiful and perfect, the staff treated us like family. Can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Charlene, Angel, Lucy and Ryder.
My wife and I planned a road trip in Arizona. I have wanted to go to Hannagan's Meadow for a long time. I was not disappointed. The scenery is unmatched. The friendly atmosphere was refreshing. We stayed in a cabin. What a nice little home. The food was great and the staff excellent. I want to go back. I recommend Hannagan's Meadow whole heartedly!
Veronica was great. They had just closed the kitchen, but Veronica told my friend and I could have a couple of Cheese Burgers. We had a couple of burgers and got to talking to Veronica. The next thing you know we have a new Friend. Thank you Veronica.
The place is glorious. If headed up north Arizona, all fine here. The room was a perfect setting for folks wanting to understand Alpine. Would highly recommend getting up there. The drive from Phoenix is split in 4 spurts. Each providing differen
Seems like a nice place to chill out and relax . I love fried pickles and these are better than most places I've tried !! It was a little pricey but the food was good quality. The bacon is thick and tender , not cripsy for anyone considering a blt. T
