Best bakery in Minnesota ! We feel so lucky to have have had such an amazing dessert assortment for our wedding day. The service was also fabulous! The Hanisch team is not only the best bakery, but also are a reliable bakery who provided us with the tastiest & prettiest desserts ever without a hitch ! I can't say enough about Hanisch Bakery - they are amazing and simply the best at producing delectable treats to offer this great area. 🫶🏻 Bill makes working with his business affordable and manageable and I appreciate the entire staff. After waiting in a slow moving line (3 employees who were moving slower than a bakery I’ve ever been to) we were “welcomed” pretty curt and rude by the lady getting our donuts though we greeted them and showed nothing but pleasantness. We got a box of a half dozen donuts. We got out to our car only to find that they only put 5 donuts in. They hide the box behind the register until we paid so we had no way of checking. With the massive line behind us we went to our car and later discovered that they shorted us. On top of that, we asked for a blueberry cake donut and they gave us something else entirely! So…only 5 donuts showed up and only 4 were correct out of the paid for 6! The employees constantly had to turn around behind them to box each individual donut because of the amount of baked goods on top of their pastry case! This is such a waste of movement and energy for the employees. With all the banners from the ceiling we assumed this place would be amazing but the experience was pretty awful. You can’t be rude, slow moving, and not give people what they pay for.

We used Hanisch Bakery for our wedding in Sept 2023 and we couldn’t have been happier! From the cake tasting experience to the final product it was an enjoyable, stress-free and delicious process! Our guests went back for seconds and thirds so make sure you order plenty because people are going to LOVE these cakes! Spice, Red Velvet and Salted Caramel were our flavors! We’ll be ordering a small anniversary cake next year! Thank you for the small town vibes and big city results!

Great spot for 6 am friendly service and great 🍩! They also have 🍪. Downtown Redwing and there will be people waiting on The doors to open, but service is fast.

Great bakery with a good selection of items. Staff was friendly. I ordered a custard filled pastry, apple fritter and chocolate muffin. The apple fritter was lite and what I felt was the perfect amount of sweetness and apple. The chocolate muffin was moist and not heavy. Custard filled pastry just really hit the spot. Custard was creamy with a lite vanilla flavor. The 4 pastries were $9.75, well worth the price. Highly recommend.

Wonderful pastries! We get a variety and they are always so tasty! It’s a busy place but the line moves pretty fast.

A little late posting because of the holidays. Stopped in 12/21, and purchased four of the the worse tasting frosted cookies I have ever had in my life. The cookie itself was so hard, I could imagine some one older breaking a tooth. The frosting, had absolutely no flavor besides maybe a weird aftertaste of Red & Green food coloring. My kids took one bite and said no way! (Christmas Tree cookies cost $19 and change) Then I went over and ordered a wrap to go for lunch. Again, worse wrap, I have had too. It was super dry/bland, and the lettuce was more yellow and white than green. My lunch was the chips and pickle that day. (another $10 and change) So four cookies, plus a wrap in the garbage. Very disappointed!! I have always recommended your bakery. I'm sorry to say, I don't think that will happen anymore. Waste of time, and more importantly, money. Something, no one wants to waste these days... This was not easy for me to post since I am a big supporter of our small businesses. But this certainly was an unexpected, and completely unacceptable situation. I hope you can do better in the future.
