Update: I'm changing my review to 5 stars because I've eaten here two additional times and the food was perfect. I would give this place for 4.5 Stars if I could. I ordered a four piece chicken finger meal, medium heat, with waffle fries. The chicken fingers were very good. They were made fresh when ordered and they were hot and delicious. The medium spice level was a little spicy but it was still very good. The only reason I would deduct half a star is because the waffle fries were cold. They still tasted fine but they definitely needed to be heated up. I will be going back for food here again.

Hangry Joe’s has a cool vibe, especially with the neat wall paintings, and the staff was kind. However, I ended up waiting over 25 minutes for my food, even though it wasn't busy. The portions were generous, which is a plus, but the seasoning on the chicken was pretty underwhelming – could definitely use more flavor. The atmosphere is nice, but the long wait and just okay food mean I can only go with 3 stars.

Hot Chicken is exactly as advertised. If you love Hot Chicken the spices on the fried chicken are hot. The sauce is good and has a sweetness to it. I like the coleslaw. My daughter had it on the sandwich and didn't prefer it. The loaded fries were mostly chicken and very few fries. The okra was good. Medium was spicy. They give good portions for the price.

The chicken is well fried. Remains moist. The flavor of the chicken is good but tends to have the same profile across the offerings. Good amount of food for the average eater.

Got the Hangry Hot wings. Crispy breaded and not wet wings. Different than what I've had in Nashville. 'Lip' spicy, not deep spicy. No waiver required as it stated on the website for the hottest. If you are any kind of seasoned hot sauce lover, this is not hot. It's decent, but not super hot.

The service was 💯! I was also extra pleased with the presentation when I got home. I did not check my order until I got home to sit and dine...very nice! The food was tasty.

Oh man, Hangry Joe’s is one of my favorite spots. By far, this place has one of the top CHICKEN SANDWICH in the area and beyond. Chick Fil A and Popeye’s fell way behind. Sorry guys, but it’s the truth. There is no comparison. Great customer service and very helpful answering questions. Good for the whole family. Price is moderate. I strongly suggest. 👍🏻

We were very disappointed as a first time diner here. As a result, we will not be eating at a HJ again. I ordered the chicken strips and waffles. The chicken was good and the sauce was flavorful but the menu said it included maple syrup and honey butter. Well, no mention of maple on the cheap imitation syrup container and no mention of honey on the whipped butter container. Also, the waffle was pretty gross since it's fried and not baked. My better half got the chicken sandwich and it was rather small compared to the other hot chicken place in Herndon. So paying $32 for this is just not worth my time.
