Hana Japanese Sushi Bar & Grill - Japanese restaurant in Natchitoches - 750 Front St, USA

Food was good but I wish I hadn't followed our waiter's recommendation to get a different type of sushi roll than what comes with the Bento Lunch Boxes. (Yuck) The waiter wrote NOTHING down and then had to be reminded at least twice for us to get each of these: water, chopsticks and utensils, napkins (I finally went to the bar and asked for some), to-go glasses, and tops THAT FIT the plastic soup to-go containers (I ended up leaving without getting them and of course it spilled😩). My friend commented that he was the worst waiter she'd had in a LONG WHILE.😳 And we BOTH regretted having given him a (more than) 20% tip! 🤷‍♀️

To be honest they have the best hibachi set I've ever tasted (I wonder what magic spell they put in it). The flavors are bold, the meat is so juicy. Service is always great. We had "red sail" for dessert - cheese cake tempura with cream and fresh strawberries. So creative!

First time being here, we didn’t order food but sat out in court yard. Ordered drinks and we enjoyed our time. They have a big menu and plan to be back soon to try a bit of it. I’ll update this then! ***Updated*** Went there this past Saturday during the car show. This jalapeño roll is a must have. We sat out in the courtyard and there was a band setting up to play later on. Didn’t know they ever had bands there so that was cool! Would recommend posting things about that on Facebook or something to draw more people in. Service has always been good. We’ve been back several times for this jalapeño roll alone haha.

We came at 2pm on a Monday. There were only 2 parties in the restaurant aside from us. The waitress ignored us so long we were denied lunch specials (ends at 230p). Sushi came with no ginger, no wasabi, no extra dishes for dipping. I got two tiny rolls on a giant plate and gor ignored some more. If you have dietary restrictions dont bother coming here, they will make no accommodations or apologies. I should have left instead of waitng the 20 minutes it took to get my check because wait staff were no where to be found.

The food is so authentic. There are so many options to choose from. There are different sushi to try. You could get hibachi, Terryaki, seafood, sashimi. The service was fairly quick and easy. The waitress was so patient and polite. Hana has a "date night" atmosphere. This is totally the place to take someone for a date. The food pictured is what I ordered. I thought it was ok. Terryaki is not my favorite flavor. The food is pricy. But the quality was amazing. Overall, great experience! I would go again.

Terrible!!! Sat us in a section that didn’t have a waiter assigned to that section. All waiter and waitress walked by us numerous times. Got my order wrong. Too expensive for quality of food

Great little spot in downtown Natchitoches near the river walk. We were pleasantly surprised with the food quality and taste. We will certainly be back again when we return to this quaint little town.
