Hampton Inn St. Joseph - Featured Reviews (595)
Perfect room for couple traveling with elderly mother. Room was spacious clean and comfortable. There were no issues. Breakfast was decent and typical for motel fare (did not remember to take photos of the breakfast area). Would stay again if in the area.
Front desk was very attentive when we arrived. We could tell it was a bit dated by the more narrow hallways and stained carpeting on the way to our room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the fridge was working. I could hear traffic most of the night.
The breakfast room was crowded but the lady working was busy cleaning and restocking the whole time.
There was sausage gravy but no standalone meat. All waffle toppings-syrup, sprinkles, m&ms, whipped cream, etc were available but no waffle batter or waffle iron. There was one flavor of muffin and one flavor of bagel.
It wasn’t up to the Hampton Inn standards were used to.
With taxes, we paid almost $200 for a night. I’d recommend staying at another hotel in St Joseph till this one is updated.
The hotel was incredibly dated, but you can tell it was built soundly because I didn’t hear any of my neighbors. I did, however, hear the construction next door at 5:00am. The owner or manager should follow up with the demolition company (Madget Demolition) next door and have a conversation about consideration of their surroundings. The beds were comfortable and the staff were so friendly. Definitely not the staff’s fault for the construction or the need for a remodel. They were great!
Wouldn’t stay here again because of the construction noise and the outdated rooms.
Outdated inside & out. Our room was clean. Property is right on Frederick Ave and is busy & noisy. There is a nice tv in the room but no guide so no idea what to watch. Breakfast was ok. The eggs are not fresh and no fresh fruit. Staff is very friendly. But will not stay here again.
I would suggest that Hilton should get rid of this hotel in their chain due to the poor location and poor condition. Was very old facility close to freeway but in a lousy location in a depressed area in which many businesses were shut down and boarded up. Nothing within walking distance for dining and the closest decent establishments were on busy roads a distance away. Parking was limited and didn't seem that safe; vehicles with trailers took up large numbers of parking spaces and they should've been instructed to park in one of the vacant lots across the street. Carpets throughout the hotel were old and stained; the bedroom carpet especially was totally gross and feet or socks turned black immediately. Staff at the front desk were disengaged from guests and kept to themselves for most part. Breakfast was at least done well and kept clean and stocked. We had a dog and there were doggy pooh bags available and ample green space to walk. Sound deadening shades were nice to have. Would not stay here again.
Indoor pool was not clean and the area around the outside of the building was trashy. Will not stay here again, especially for the price I was charged. Breakfast was fair, room just average, best thing about my stay was the staff who were helpful and friendly.
The hotel is dated and needs renovated but the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room wasn’t super clean. Breakfast was good. Within walking distance of a couple of restaurants.
The digital key doesn't work. The room smells like mothballs, and the wifi is terrible with a download/ upload of less than 5mb. I would suggest checking out the availability of the candlewood in town first.
This was the nicest Fairfield Inn ever. Awesome breakfast with crustless spinach quiche, biscuits and gravy, lovely apples, oranges, bananas, a spectacular oatmeal bar. The staff was great!!! Very friendly people at the front desk took care of eve
I rarely ever give hotels 5 stars. Look at my reviews, most of them are negative. ð
We stayed four nights. This hotel was immaculately clean and the service was excellent. The room has a full size kitchen with a full size refrigerator. And th

Oh my. Pizza Heaven! I arrived a bit early, found a shady spot and waited for my pick up time. Chef started texting me pics. Pizza going in or coming out of the oven. Order was ready early! The minute you walk up you know this is gonna be good. Chef

Although the appliances are a bit loud, the quality doesn't falter. I greatly enjoyed my time working there with a delicious latte. I will visit again to try other unique flavors they offer.
