Hampton Inn Spartanburg-North I-85 - Hotel in Spartanburg - 121 Traveller Dr, USA

Just for the fun of it and curiosity I went through our room last night very thoroughly with a high-powered UV flashlight with all the lights out that shows you absolutely everything! I can certainly tell the room was extremely clean! So I went to the front desk this morning to tell them about it because I have stayed at many different Hilton chains and brands and the head of housekeeping “Rhonda Gilliam I found out” is doing an excellent job here! You would be extremely surprised at what you find with a high powered uv flashlight at even extremely high end five star hotels! I would rate this one five stars for sure! 👏👏👏👍😊 Very friendly, helpful, and polite staff as well! Breakfast was excellent as they even use real eggs in their omelettes and some Hilton chains do not.

I travel a lot for my company. Hampton inn is where I stay no matter what City it always seems the room is a little dirty. Several time before remade my bed with same dirty sheets. Usually the tub not cleaned or toilet. Even when they clean daily usually half clean. Today Lela clean my room the first time I could tell someone clean. I was going to ask my company not to put me in another Hampton inn.

My family and I have been semi-regulars at this hotel for several years as we stay there when we visit family in the area. Overall, I find the hotel to be satisfactory though I am considering trying a different place to stay in the future as this Hampton seems to be getting a little "tired." The staff was friendly, our room was clean and comfortable (although it had a "musty" smell when we first arrived that dissipated when we ran the air conditioning), but the whole place is in need of a "refresh." The last time we were there was several months ago, but a vending machine that took our money then still has a sign on it that reads ,"We are not responsible if this machine takes your money." Honestly, that should have been dealt with by now. The morning we checked out, there seemed to be a lot of staff on hand working with housekeeping, but the one man working in the breakfast area could have used some help. He was working diligently trying to keep the buffet area stocked, but it was a bit more than he could handle. The coffee bar did not have real creamer for the coffee (just Coffee Mate), and the milk for cereal was out. And while I understand that hotels these days pretty much all accept pets, I was surprised to hear what sounded like an enormous dog barking in the room next door. It didn't bark after we went to bed, but it was barking late in the evening as well as early in the morning. I guess I expected that a guest with a big dog would be put in a room further away from the other occupied rooms when the hotel isn't full (which it clearly wasn't). We also saw another room that had a bunch of dog hair on the carpet in front of the door where someone had apparently brushed a large dog there. The hotel is, as most Hamptons are, conveniently located near the highway, but the road noise is not bad. This exit only has gas stations and fast food restaurants on it, which may be an issue for some travelers. I'm not writing off this location yet, but I'm planning to go visit family again soon, and I think I will try another hotel this time as it looks like this Hampton has a bit of work to do to be up to its original standards.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is in need of a refurbishment. Hampton Inn is always a place where you can count on a comfortable bed, not so in this case. My room felt old. The bed was hard and the TV remote didn't work most of the time. Breakfast had good selections and plenty of food.

Positive: Checking in was a breeze & staff was nice! Negative: Musty odor in the halls & room. Check out day which was not til 12, housekeeping came 3x. twice to see if I was still there @1030 & 11. 3rd time @ 1130 they just came in w/out waiting 4 me to answer w/2 workmen to measure the bathtub. Keep door latch on.

Stayed here for 5 nights while we were visiting our daughter and let’s just say I was glad to leave. This hotel is outdated and needs some TLC. The room itself was clean when we arrived and the room was nice and cool. The bed was not comfortable at all, the pillows were horrible, and the TV had no guide and was a pain to find channels. One morning while taking a shower the water shut off completely for about 5 minutes. The gym was good and the pool wasn’t bad. Overall it was not for me and I would not stay there again. I didn’t interact with the staff at all, but everyone there seemed nice.

Not a fan of this Hampton Inn. Subtracted 2 stars for a few problems that I experienced during my stay that other Hampton Inns do not have: Minus one star for the bathroom: 1) the drain in the sink was broken, and after 4 people brushed teeth it was pretty gross. We reported it but they couldn't fix it (didn't even come try!) and supposedly didn't have any other rooms to switch us to. 2) The shower head was pretty wonky. The spray was crazy and it was pointed to the wall and unmovable, probably because the shower curtain was too short. Minus second star for breakfast and room amenities. Slim pickings for breakfast! Didn't have bottled water in the room.

Pay attention to the reviews!|I didn’t and I regret it.|Our bathroom was nothing short of disgusting. There was toothpaste in the sink and on the counter, hair everywhere and wrappers on the counter. I question if the jacuzzi had ever been cleaned. I refused to go in it. I was completely grossed out but too tired to leave which is what we should have done.|As we checked out in the morning I told the front desk staff how dirty it was and she basically shrugged her shoulders. I mentioned it again and she said she would tell the manager.|My advice to the manager… retrain or replace your cleaning staff!!! The multiple negative reviews about the lack of cleanliness in your hotel should prompt you to make some major changes
