Hampton Inn South Hill - Hotel in South Hill - I-85 U.S. 58, 200 Thompson St, USA

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hampton Inn South hill VA , and I must highlight the exceptional service provided by Tarry Ford at front desk. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and a welcoming smile that made me feel right at home. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable, accommodating every request with efficiency and a gracious attitude. Their attention to detail and eagerness to assist did not go unnoticed, making my experience at the hotel truly memorable. Because of their outstanding service, I am already looking forward to my next stay . It’s people like Tarry that create a lasting impression and make us want to return again and again. Thank you for making my visit so enjoyable!

Fitted Sheet didn't cover the mattress. It was on the wrong way. So before bed my husband and I had to remake the bed. Drawer on bed stand did not open on one side of the bed. All our items froze in mini fridge. No Ketchup on the breakfast bar. But it was quiet and a halfway point to rest before continuing our trip. Not up to usual Hampton standards.

Stopped here for a night, good location right off the Interstate and the price was very good. Although as we booked late we didn't get a king room and had to settle for a double queen. The room was as comfortable and clean as one expects from this chain (which is great and this why we use them so much). Short drive into town to explore. Nothing really stood out one way or another just a regular stay, so for that an average rating. Would stay here again.

Front desk attendant is rude and could care less about assisting guests. Room is disgusting. Everything is damp and clothes feel wet from laying on the bed. The floor also feels damp. The stench of wet, stale dog about knocked us out when we opened the door to room 217. Never staying here again. I can’t believe how bad it stinks in here.

I stayed here before and didn't have any issues. This time was different. When we walked into the room, we saw a huge molding spot on the ceiling. We initially thought it might be a stain from an old issue, which is bad in itself that they hadn't taken care of it yet, but then we noticed it was actively leaking. When we talked to the front desk they were apologetic, but they seemed incapable to do anything without consulting a manager who wasn't there. They may have been oversold and probably didn't have any other rooms to switch us to, and since we were only staying one night with a larger group, we chose to stick it out. I just think it's very bad business to keep a room in that condition open for bookings while it's in that state. And since the leak had a considerably sized moldy spot, it's clearly a long standing issue that hasn't been resolved in quite some time.

They had lotion in the shower where they would normally have body wash. When I spoke to the front desk about it I didn’t feel that they really cared. They did come take the lotion out and gave me a laundry bag full of soap. My last night the AC in my room wouldn’t work. I ended up having to move rooms at 10 PM. The floor in the bathroom was sticky. The desk chair was dingy and uncomfortable. This is honestly the worst Hilton property I have ever stayed in.

They only have 2 carts to help you get luggage in . For a place with 3 floors they need more then that . Plus rooms were not available until after 415pm

Bathroom floor was sticky. Room smelled like an ashtray. Couch was more uncomfortable than the floor. Was a nice sized room. Spoke with Front desk in person and was told " Sorry nothing we can do". It was really unacceptable.
