Hampton Inn Smithfield Selma - Hotel in Smithfield - 160 Towne Centre Pl, USA

Stopped here for an overnight while heading to Myrtle Beach. The hotel is beautiful as it is a newer hotel in the area. Loved the fact that I could check in remotely via the Hilton app and get my electronic room key as to not bother the front desk staff (as we rolled in close to midnight). The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was nice as it was your typical hot breakfast....waffles, cereals, eggs and bacon. All in all this was a great hotel to stop into. We loved it so much that we've marked it as a favorite for the next time we head down south for vacation. We will be back!

I will say that the staff here is extremely friendly. The front desk staff Nikkole was very polite and knowledgeable. The breakfast was delicious the next morning. I would have to say this was a stop over to rest and relax before a long drive the next day and we were so at home and comfortable. Love the 24hr coffee and hot cocoa too. Definitely will be back

This property is one of the best Hiltons on the way to Florida. We stay at this Location on our way to Florida. The check in was smooth and easy and the front desk receptionist is so polite and welcoming. The hotel is clean, the rooms are very nice, beds are comfy, frig is cold and bathroom is also clean with a perfect amount of towels for the three of us. We didn’t use the pool and I’m looking forward to the Hampton Inn breakfast. I would recommend this hotel for your stay.

The BEST stop on I-95 through NC. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the facility is very clean, and the breakfast is fantastic. We stay here twice each summer (south and back home) and always leave refreshed and thankful for such a great stop. See you next year!

We have stayed here previously and had an enjoyable time which played a huge factor in our decision to stay here again. The hotel itself is newer and has a great contemporary design. The staff we interacted with are top notch - incredibly pleasant and friendly to my entire family, including our two young children. The location is nice, easily accessible from I-95 and is an affordable option for travelers. ||||There is construction going on next door for a new hotel which is a bit of a turn off but construction is temporary! I was a little disappointed that some of the maintenance items seem to be overlooked such as cracking in the caulking and damage to the drywall around the air conditioner, edges of the wallpaper peeling off, and cracks where the ceiling and walls meet (probably from normal settling).||||Regardless, the hospitality and quality make up for the cosmetic issues. Will definitely stay again

The staff at this location are top notch!! So professional and friendly. They made our stay so great. Thank you! My only concern is that the bathtubs are very slippery. I would suggest adding some grippy non slip stickers to the bottom.

Stayed here while relocating from Pennsylvania to Florida and was referred by a family member who stayed here a few months ago. I booked a king studio room for $215 (after taxes) the day before my instead stay. I was running behind because I was moving out of my apartment that day and had to load up my car. I called ahead to let the hotel know that I was running late and will be checking in late. The representative I spoke to said they would make a note and wished me safe travels. There were severe thunderstorms for most of the trip so I ended up arriving at around 3:30AM. When I went to check in, the receptionist did not greet me or ask me how my trip was or show any concern for my wellbeing having just driven 7 hours from Pennsylvania through rainstorms. Instead, they welcomed me with a $75 “incident” fee. I was so exhausted from the trip and just grateful to have made it that I didn’t try to fight it. They didn’t explain what the charge was for but did mentioned that it was going to be reimbursed 5-7 business days after I checked out. I just stood there quietly so that I could get up to the room as soon as possible. When I did make it up to the room, it had an odd cologne smell that was not very pleasant. The linens and bathrooms seemed relatively clean. There were some questionable liquid drip stains on the walls and a strange film residue on the hallway mirror. The window curtain had a large liquid stain as well. It also looks like this hotel has ant problems. See pictures. Definitely will not be staying here again and would not recommend it.
