This hotel was so fun to stay at! The rooms and service were great! Had no issues whatsoever. The breakfast could use more variety, but it was still good. The best part about this hotel is the water slide! Would love to stay again when I travel towards Connecticut again.
I stayed two nights here and was extremely impressed with the high quality of service I received, from the friendliness and helpfulness at the front desk to housekeeping. I left behind a valuable item, which Marisol and Vannessa found and set aside for me. They were warm and lovely, and I am very thankful.
Loved this hotel. It was nice and the room was huge. The bed was comfortable and there was even a sofa and little area to relax that felt separate from the rest of the room. The closet was big and I loved the little area they had for coffee. They also had a nice breakfast.
Very clean. Three rooms for two nights for six family members. Recently updated decor, but the handicapped accessible bathroom in one room had a regular tub with grab bars, and it was supposed to be open with a pitched floor drain. Lighting not updated. Very, very dim. Four little square pillows for king-sized bed. Housekeeping and breakfast staff were very nice. Front desk staff were often not available and when they were, not too friendly. A smile goes a long way.
I stayed here for a single night while in the area on business. The hotel is in a nice area with restaurants and shops a short walk away.||Check in was smooth and my room was large and quiet. The bed was firm and everything worked. There were also black out shades which lead to a good nights sleep.||As others have posted, the room layout is a little different. Sitting area when you walk in, the bed behind a half wall and the bathroom a bit of an odd, triangular shape. I really liked it as it was something different from the typical "cookie cutter" layout in most hotels and it wasn't awkward at all, at least for me. Only small complaint is the sitting area doesn't get much natural light.||If back in Shelton, I would definitely stay here again.
What a wonderful experience staying at this hotel! it started with the phone call I made to book my reservation. I spoke with Amy and she couldn’t have been more friendly or warmer to me, and she never met me. When I got to the hotel how lucky I was that Amy was working at that time I felt like I was seeing a friend I hadn’t seen in a while she was so welcoming. Our room was absolutely beautiful and clean. Amy had said they were recently renovated. It was so quiet during our stay so easy to sleep at night, and even during the day, it was very quiet. The free breakfast was wonderful. They had so many options. It is situated in a part of Shelton, where there are many other stores and restaurants.|For years we always stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, but after staying at this Hampton Inn, we are changing to Hampton Inns!
Beautiful rooms with lots of space. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Laundry service was great. The pool was awesome (waterslide was fun) except for the excessive amount of chlorine. It made my eyes burn just walking into the pool area and I probably spent 10 min rubbing my eyes because they burned so badly.
Great location, easy to find. Dunkin donuts and Chipotle in close walking distance, many shops across the street (including a wine store!). The hotel had a nice selection for their free breakfast and the hours for it were 7am-10am, so you could actually sleep in a little and still get breakfast. It was a little annoying to have to sign up for the pool use by the hour, but there was almost nobody else in the pool when we went so we always got to go at the time we wanted. The kids love the water slide and the water temperature was pretty warm for a hotel pool. I would definitely stay here again if we are traveling!
Second stay here and was just as happy this time around! Hotel is very clean and the rooms are spacious and well kept. I was in a studio King, and the space was amazing. The kitchenette was fully stocked and had enough space and supplies to make simp
We had a house fire and requested the Residence Inn and did not regret it! Clean, attractive and dog friendly, we were happy to be there. The staff was very courteous and responsive to our every need...will stay there again in happier circumstances!
