Hampton Inn Shelbyville - Hotel in Shelbyville - 59 Rampart St, USA

After checking in to a different hotel and immediately checking out for poor cleanliness, we drove over to this one to see if they had a room. ||The guy at the counter was friendly and quick to get us a room for just what we wanted. Just needed a room for 1 night for a softball tournament. It is close to the field and has plenty of food and gas stations nearby. ||Everything was clean, staff was friendly, pool was decent sized, breakfast was just what we needed for a quick bite before tournament. ||Recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is conveniently located right off the interstate, near several food and gas locations, too. The personnel was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The bed was broken in pretty good, so it was a little rough on someone who likes a firmer mattress but would be perfect for a person who likes a softer mattress. Some of the grouting around the tub looked a bit worn and could use a touch-up. The sprinkler head in the bathroom was rusted out, so I'm not sure if it would work as expected in the case of a fire. Other than those smaller items, we were very happy with our stay!

Our room was nasty ! Walls dirty, bath tub finish coming off, desk said all rooms have that problem, tub faucet handle not attached ( handle sitting on side of tub), lavatory faucet mounted too far from sink water coming out of faucet runs over counter, a/c very noisy front cover hanging off unit, entry door you can see into hallway between door and frame, wall thermostat you can see where it use to be mounted holes still there they just painted over it, missing grout in tile floors, room entry doors need oiling squeak opening and closing, couch faded filthy, furniture finish worn off and damaged. Room rate extremely high. Highest I paid in 2 week trip, including new properties and tourist destinations. On check out I didn’t see clerk, walked up to counter saw him sitting in chair in dark corner. Told him I was checking out. He replied “want a receipt?” I replied yes please. He acted like it was so difficult to provide me a receipt. Looked like he had rough night, cuts on face. I then told him about room issues, he asked were you able to shower ? Did not offer to adjust charges to room conditions. Very disappointed in Hilton property. I will never stay there, it’s a dump.

Great friendly place spoke to the owner ,great friendly out going guy clean swimming pool and there is a pond behind not sure if they own it put it's great fishing I know that, house keepers cater to customers needs if need extra towels shhhh if you leave hungry after breakfast they serve that's your own fault ,coffee 24/7 yep I'll be staying there again

We arrived before the Solar Eclipse, and we were allowed to check in early. We parked our car in their parking lot and watched the Eclipse in a field in front of the hotel. Everyone was friendly. Breakfast was good. My one comment would be that the fitness center was too hot and that a fan would have helped my workout.

Staff was very friendly, breakfast good lots of options. BUT overnight someone tried to steal the catalytic converter off our car. Another guest had same issue. After filing report learned this is common for hotels off this exit.

Staff was so nice ....room was clean...an breakfast before the race was delicious ...I also want to add to the kind young man who went to my room when I called to make sure my wallet was there....thank you...I thought for sure I had lost it an didn't have time to drive back....he deserves a raise...a paid night off...something

NO HOT TUB in POOL AREA! The website and Google images of the Hampton Inn Shelbyville show a hot tub next to pool. It isn't there. The sign for it is, the nob to turn it on and off is on the wall. But NO HOT TUb. May future guests be warned. Was very disappointed, the kids loved the pool, but it was a bit cold for me and the wife. We was looking forward to the hot tub. Very disappointed! 5 stars for the service and the room. 2 stars for lieing! Update your pictures Hampton! And the chairs in the lobby all looked like a dog chewed them up. Was expecting way better of a place for "Hilton" to own. Not much difference than a motel 6. The pool needs some much added chemicals and there is green moss at the bottom of all the poles of the ladder and the stairs. Plus the stairs into the pool is corner stairs and very awkward to maneuver. As well as the floor around the pool. The slightest water on it and my son fell on his face! No mats or grip paint to help get around a very dangerous floor. And the pool is literally 4ft from door, not very spacious at all... Pool and hut tub area was most disappointing. Won't return just because of pool/hot tub lie.
