Hampton Inn Schenectady Downtown - Hotel in Schenectady - 450 State St, USA

As a Diamond member I expect more for $269/night.. The air conditioning barely worked and the rooms smelled like musty mold. I didn’t have the energy to complain in switch rooms after traveling for 17 hours or I would have. The front desk clerk was pleasant but just about everything else about the facility was lackluster at best. I would also advise the breakfast team members to not spend their time sitting in the dining area killing time. They could be cleaning or doing something out of sight of the customers

Very clean and quiet. Located in the center of town.|Bed was comfortable and plenty of towels and an in room coffee machine ,microwave and|fridge.Pool and exercise room available also.We were here for only one night but would be good for a long stay also. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is amazing! It has amazing rooms with lots of space, nice comfy beds and a huge bathroom that is so clean. They always have great food for breakfast. The staff are really nice. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visitng Schenectady!!

Like many other past guests, I'd recommend the Hampton Inn Downtown Schenectady. I was in town visiting family and friends for a few days, and the location just made everything easier as I took the train in from NYC. The hospitality was warm and thoughtful, definitely better than some 4 and 5 Star hotels I have stayed at. From every person at the front desk to housekeeping, super friendly as it should be. It is only a slightly older hotel, however, it isn't overly outdated. It has been gently used and well-maintained, and has all of the hotel and room amenities that we've become accustomed to. From the lobby, hallways, and most importantly my room, they were all very clean, fresh, and bright and airy. They host a lot of professionals, and I got a good nights sleep every night. Also, check out google maps: cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, are all within steps from the landscaped entrance of the hotel. I love supporting local businesses while in town.

I had not been through Schenectady, NY, since my college days on my way to visit a boyfriend at Rome Air Force Base. I was in Schenectady for a Conference held next door to the Hampton Inn at the Procter Theatre. You can't beat the location. The hotel is just a turn or two off the Interstate and right across the street from Jay Street, where it all goes down on Sunday's for "The Green Market" a delicious and folksy outdoor marketplace. But back to the Hampton Inn. I was greeted by Imani at the front desk for the most hassle-free check in ever. the next day I met Amir who greeted me with a smile and cordially helped me with my Room Key situation, that I always seem to create. The hotel is Clean, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I am not a Hotel breakfast person, but the Hash Browns were on point and even the sausage pattie was tolerable. The breakfast Room Attendant Ms. Felicia kept everything wiped down and clean, no crumbs, no clutter. My vehicle was safe in the well-lit outdoor parking, and people from our conference enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Two Thumbs up!

I had a wonderful stay at this place! I was in town for only one night, but I can tell you this place will not disappoint. This place is very clean with no bugs. Amani and the rest of the staff are also very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was also good. I was pleased with having Cranberry juice and whoever is cooking the food... those are some damn good potatoes!!

This is our go-to hotel when visiting family in the area. The front desk staff is always incredibly welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast in the morning is quite large and provides at least one option to start my day. The fitness room here is on the small side but is always clean.

Positive: Hotel was literally steps away from the Procror Theater.The hotel itself was so clean and appeared newly updated. Hotel staff was very nice and friendly. The free breakfast had a great selection including waffle maker. Extremely pleased with evweything! Negative: N/A Negative: ""
