Hampton Inn Ruston - Featured Reviews (520)
This hotel is a little older, but well maintained. Everything was clean. Our room (335) on the 3rd floor, back of the property, was quiet. The staff were all friendly. Breakfast was basic, but plenty of options. Coffee was decent (and I’m pretty picky).
Easy check in, the elevator lobby area had a soured smell though. The hotel seemed old but staff was super nice. Tons of light shown through our door to our room though. The Southern Girls softball team also stayed there, and they constantly went in and out of their rooms till 3:30am. No one answered at the front desk to complain about this. Breakfast was good.
Good spot, can’t go 5 stars because it’s old and not updated, but what they have there is clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly, rooms were nice and breakfast was good. Parking was easy and quick on and off the freeway. This Hampton is less expensive than neighboring towns probably because it’s older. Great spot.
There were several issues with this Hampton. First, when I went to put something in the refrigerator, someone else's leftovers were inside. Then when I went to shower, someone else's soap from a previous stay was still in the shower. My thinking is if they do not clean the obvious things, what else did they not clean? The front desk did not ask how my stay went when checking out and the hotel was very outdated. I travel a lot on business and this is the worst Hampton I've ever stayed in.
The bathroom in our room was not clean. There was hair in the facebowel, shower , on the shower wall, around the outside of the tub on the floor. A nasty bathroom says a lot about a hotel. I stayed because I needed a little sleep before I got back on the highway.
Staff was very pleasant and friendly. Hotel is showing its age. There were bugs throughout the corridors and in the room. The back exit door doesn't have a closer so it slams shut very loudly. Breakfast was in a very small serving area and the food offered wasn't very appealing, so we skipped it. Hotel is kind of beat-up and needs a complete overhaul.
The free morning breakfast was awesome. I really liked the oatmeal which was cooked correctly and served hot as should be. Condiments were all there including walnuts and all were fresh.
The place was clean, quiet, and the people super kind, but the BREAKFAST. I’m a breastfeeding mom who is always hungry and cravy (and who travels a lot) and I’ve never seen a continental spread like this. Red velvet waffles. Chocolate chips, walnut, and strawberry puree toppings. Maple sausage. Egg white frittatas. Plus all the usual fruit, cereal, baked goods. I actually feel nourished for a long drive with an eight-month-old. Thank you, Hampton.
The hotel is going through a renovation, but most of it looks done. The staff was very nice and my room was newly finished and very clean. Absolutely no complaints AND the breakfast was better than normal for Holiday Inn.
We LOVED spending the day with Jordyn! We drove 4 hours to see her! My mom (70yrs old on the arm), daughter (ribs), and myself (leg) got matching tattoos.
We have worked with the Preserves for a number of years as a vendor and this property is top notch. From the staff to the quality of amenities and buildings themselves, this is a great place to live near campus. Gated and safe.
I use to shop at Catoâs Department years ago until I move to another state and this type of store wasnât in my area. I had a surprise gift from a friend with two items for the spring. I am so excited. Very pretty, stylish and appealing to me. Cus
Gibsonâs is my go to place, as Iâm vegan and they have many options.
Iâm also fond of management, as if thereâs something I recommend to be supplied or in stock, they have taken suggestions and will place an order.
